  • I tell u what. I done tore it apart and some of those lead parts u can mix it into country licks to. I played around with some of the lead parts & fit them into country playing. It sounds pretty hot to. Yeah. Again, Ur welcome my friend. U. r truly the best as well. ......guitars

  • @THEJERALDNATION Oh yeah, I make sure that everything can fit into country too. lol I love my country for sure. I took a lot of this stuff from the Exile song "Super Love". It's got tons of this stuff in it. "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers also. It all crosses over very well.

  • Hello Scott my man!. U guessed it. It's funk time. Just got this lesson and i will be checking it out. This is my 4th lesson from you. Along with the others. It will go on my 1TB drive and keep em 4ever. I plan on getting a lot more of ur lessons as well. Now that is groovy. U should

  • @THEJERALDNATION Jerald my friend. This lesson is so much fun. This will really let you know if you have any soul at all in you or not. If you can't get down with your bad self and make some toes tap and some booties shake when you finish this....there's no hope for you. Thank a ton my man! You really are the best.

    Scott

  • thx for the reply !

  • @musefan69 My total pleasure!

  • nice work-how do you feel overall about the godin triumph you are using here ?

there is not a lot of info from players on these guitars online...

  • @musefan69 It is actually a funky guitar in that it has a finish that feels like rubber. You can actually press your fingers into the sparkle finish and it will slowly rise back up. So, strange. lol It feels fine as far as the neck goes, but the pickups are just a bit on the lifeless side. If I were to get another one, I would have to have a custom pickguard made for it and drop some Lace Sensors in it and I'm sure I would like it a lot better.

  • pro chops!! excellent work you made my day!

  • @wretcheddog Thank you very much. It's just the intro for my full video lesson. Not enough people work on this kind of playing anymore for some reason.

  • Hey, I bought the lesson on ebay. Getting the download by e-mail with the purchase is a great deal so you can start the lesson sooner. Just about all I like to learn right now is funk. There's not a lot of lesson material out there and most of what is out there is all rhythm oriented. Yours does a great job of teaching how to construct a funk-style lead. I've never seen any other instructional that included the finger picking elements. It's top-shelf material!

  • @tenaciousd1970 Thank you very much my friend. I love funk myself and had to add this one to the pile of videos that I do. I may very well put out the seqel to this one and include some more fun lead oriented stuff in it to REALLY set it apart from the rest. Thanks again for picking it up.

    All my best,

    Scott

  • Nice. If you can show me how to play that well in "just the key of E," I'll have no complaints. As George Clinton said, "Funk is it's own reward."

  • @tenaciousd1970 Not a problem at all. There are tons of fun funk frenzy going on in the Key of E on the video.
