  • It's the harmonies between the electric guitars that always made boston special to me.

  • God, listen to that horrible slop. Tom Scholz has a lot of nerve taking credit for all the great work Barry Goudreau did on the 1st two Boston Albums....

  • @BrianMorrison71 i belive there is a small detail your missing. this is a LIVE performance. Meaning Tom & Barry can change the solo to match their individual moods during said performance WHENEVER THEY WANT. While I dont agree with your assesment, i will say that both Tom and Barry were unbelivable guitarists, and put most other duos to shame.

  • @maggot4life432 He can't change his style. Listen to the King biscuit long beach performance 1977. Barry Goudreau was the big gun behind that band. Scholz spent most of the concert behind the hammond. I'm a guitarist who plays 320 shows a year, I understand things like style, tone, vibrato, etc. Scholz is not a good guitarist. He just took credit for everything...

  • @BrianMorrison71 well post your shit mr. 320...thats a damn shame sholz wasn't a good guitarist...lol..

  • @BrianMorrison71 Read the sleave insert for the digitally remastered "Boston" album released in 2006...Tom Sholz is a very gracious dude, giving great credit to his bandmates especially Barry and his guitar work....he certainly doesn't "take credit for everything". Basically, what I'm saying is: You are out of line and ignorant....other than that you are completely right.

  • @BrianMorrison71 But it was Scholz who played most of the guitars on the album. THe only song on the album where every dude on the album cover performs is Let Me Take You Home Tonight. By the second album, it was all TS.

  • @maggot4life432 they were okay but very one dimenional, now Duane Allman & Dickey Betts in their heyday, that was a pair of guitarists that every guitarist would aspire to be like, espec Duane..if you know your music history and who's influential..

  • @MOSKII58 both of them are very good guitarist! very distinctive styles

  • @BrianMorrison71 ageed Barry was da man on the lead guitar, i love his playing on longtime/foreplay

  • @BrianMorrison71 And your evidence to support this ridiculous claim? Tom Scholz sounds really good in this video. And something you're failing to take into account... Tom PATENTED his amplifier after he developed it. The man is a genius (he started at MIT, which is why the band is called Boston).

Don't start spewing your baseless accusations about one of the most badass guitarists in history around here. Don't need them, don't believe them (not without evidence).

  • Probably the most forward thinking band of the time. I grew up listening to them. Very thankful that happened.

  • @absopure99 What does forward thinking mean, really?

  • Comment removed

  • @hastyberford: hahaha .. well maybe u should just show us all how its supposed to be done then! Unbelievable

  • No even TS can play this solo properly.

  • @hastyberford That's because Tom didn't play this solo. It was Goudreau...

  • personally, i think boston's drummer, is one of, IF NOT, the best, crispest, cleanest, drummer ever. just fuckin beats em perfectly!!! the sound is UN-MATCHABLE!!! thanx for postin...

  • great, they were really on here, too bad how it all ended

  • thanks for posting. My favorite song of theirs. Totally awesome...
