Brilliant one of the hardest of all the Beatles songs to cover Paul spent a week rehersing this and broke his voice doing it but it added to the raw sound of the song, full credit to the guy doing the lead vocal
WOW ardy.......man. I have just found out The Blue Meanies are playing AROTR. They are from Liverpool. Im Sorry Ardy but this guy( TONY COBURN) has got some pipes on him man hes the best macca ive ever heard!!!! Cant wait for Loisville!
@beatletruffle64not for me. ardys the best tribute mccartney ive ever seen. that block ur on about broke the number one mccartney rule. hes not left handed and he dont play his bass left handed
@beatlefan247 Well, he did say Coburn was the best McCartney he'd ever heard, not seen. I checked out a video of him doing this same song, and it's pretty impressive indeed. But in looks and demeanor, Ardy's the #1.
@ThatWasFred Ardy shits on Coburn in looks and voice, even though he should keep away from this song as he clearly struggles. Coburn can hit the real high notes but sounds nothing like McCartney. Ardy is the best Paul there is and that is coming from a guy who does a decent Macca in a Beatle show.
I've seen them three times. And yeah...the damn assholes drowned out every song throughout the whole evening. I eventually went to the very back of the room just to hear the people I paid to hear.
@frmoc Sorry I've been to many many Fab Four shows, guessing maybe 100 or so, and that is to be expected. Even at Macca shows. That's how they know the audience is into it. When the audience is silent, they don't think people are enjoying themselves.

Thankyou Beatles, for all the listening pleasure you've given us. And thankyou Fab Four, for reminding us of it.

Abbey Road. The best Beatles album for me. Side two in particular is sublime.

@bobvocal Yep, Paul did that intentionally too. He'd go into the studio very early in the morning for a week straight and sing it to break his voice.

@genericgeorge Agreed. Out of all the Paul's I've seen Ardy definitely is at the top. Gary Grimes (R.I.P) was a close second though.

Coburn sings the screechers well but is nowhere on the melodic stuff and sounds nothing like macca on those. Ardy is a better all round macca

Wish I could actually hear the band. Damn assholes drowning them out with their shitty singing.
