I feel as though this anime could have had so much more to it. I think after Yukito disapeared (or turned into a crow or somin :b) and Misuzu got sick the plot just started deteriorating. The opening itself was enough to get me into the anime, but they still could have made the show and plot much better.

I had watched Clannad and was looking for another anime to watch, the two suggested videos were Kanon and Air. I wasn't sure which one to watch first. Then the next day I was walking to school and I had in my head the bit were they're walking by the sea wall, I decided to watch that one first, and it turned out to be my favourite xx

Air doesn't end with a tragedy (not the "present" storyline at least). For me it was a happy ending after a lot of sad struggling. CLANNAD ~After Story~ is much more of a tragedy - and it's still the masterpiecest masterpiece of all Key's masterpieces.

@KronosDeathskull i think instead of classifying through period of the year maybe more as the morale they try to offer? I haven't watched kanon and just a little bit of Air but i can tell you that Angel beats represent eternal love, and that Clannad shows us that the world bears darkness and light for one to live means to experience sadness, pain, frustration, as well as happiness, pleasure, love.

@1337Flyboy Wrong, the animation studio responsible for Angel Beats was P.A. Works. The Producer was Aniplex I believe while only two members of Key participated, mainly Jun Maeda (story, screenplay and music composition) and Na-Ga (Character design).

Also, Toei has also made Key anime adaptations, especifically Kanon (2002) and the movie versions of Air and Clannad.

@Jrocker1991 I would put Air in front of Kanon but Clannad/After Story is definetly the best down to earth sad anime I have ever seen. I havent seen Angel Beats though cause I can't find it but it is definetly on my watch list. (BTW-The reason I would put Air in front of Kanon is consideering how I was bawling when I finished Air when in Kanon I didn't cry but it was still a little sad)

However, clannad had a Great ending and was a cheerful one. Air's ending raises more questions than answers and the other two animes, Kanon, and clannad respectfully, have decent endings that ended positively. The main and the strong support characters weren't forgotten or stuck to reincarnate.

Looking at kanon, it's a few things that happened that are somewhat sad but in no way reach the "... passing away" scene....

I'd have to say kanon was not sad really, rather a story to watch to think about life afterwards.

Have you see the anime ?No, not all of them. I'm pretty sure that Kano Kirishima (the first girl) has a crush on Yukito, Minagi Tohno (second girl) regards him as a really close friend and our favorite (and the third girl) Misuzu Kamio is in love with Yukito. The way Kano acts towards Yukito sometimes is too intimate to simply be friends, Minagi always keeps her distance respectively and politely towards Yukito clearly explaining their relationship and Yukito and Misuzu are just really chose.

One of the greatest animes ever...

I watched all the Key animes: Air, Kanon, Clannad and Clannad After Story.

People said Clannad was the best, but it seemed more like typical harem series! And the main lead was stupid compared to Yukito.

Plus you could see the emotional parts a mile away...

Air is... simply beautiful... It's one of my ABSOLUTE favorites, and is #8 on my Top 10.

It's something everyone should see at least once in their life.

Sure, it has it's moments, but I can't find myself really comparing it to KyoAni's KEY adaptions. As far as I'm concerned, they're on a whole different level. Not a peculiar thing though, as Bleach isn't that type of story to begin with, at least not with a focus on making you cry.
