Wardi is no longer on this earth. He will watch over us from heavens where he will continue to sing, write music and appreciate beauty in each and every thing. It saddens me to inform you that Wardi passed away in Khartoum on Saturday 18 Feb 2012 after a heroic struggle against renal failure. Neither prison, exile, nor illness broke his spirit and his resistance to all evil and ugly manifestations of repression and injustice. His creative legacy will live on and on for generations to come.
love how she does it at 1.06....and Wardi is awesome...i'm a southerner sudanese lived in Khartoum for a very longtime. but i must say even though our government system is gonna force us to be two nations in the nearest future, i will still come back to Khartoum's music concerts. i wish i was at this amazing concert of our legend Mohamed Wardi.
