coil is at 90 degree to dfx`s controlhouse and prevent it from tune in to max settings.

ace 250/350/at pro is turn on and go,,for beginners...i have tested them all...

whites xlt-------dfx need more tuning and a skilled user...not done on a sunday picknic.

Learn it and you will see amazing results..also you can find on internet programs for Xlt/Dfx

you did everthing wrong whats possible to do it wrong....so no wonder these reults are terrible...the information of these video is for the wastebox. read the manual or confrontate yourself with the basic knowledge of metal detecting and how to set the detector, and wich circumstances u have to prepare to do a correct test.....NOOOB

When I first got my 300 I was pretty thrilled, but after a few times it started to go haywire for no reason, ruining a few hunts. I shelved it and went back to the XLT for a few months. This spring I was on a tour hunt and the 300 went mad again. Again, shelved. Then I took it out this fall and it's been fine ever since. Whites Electronics online support is spotty at best. I guess just leaving it alone for a few weeks at a time does the trick. E

Well you dont know to set DFX.Why you do the test with Coin&Jewlery program?If you use factory program you should use Relic ...but there is much better programs then Relic..DFX is not for novice.Check my video to see DFX finds.

Just bought the ace 250, it is too good for its own good, sometimes cant dig deep enough. have to turn sensitivety half way and use descrimination. love it...

Owning neither of these detectors I have no vested interest in either, I do know one should never expect to get a reasonable test while testing them side by side. THEY ARE CAUSING INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THEM AND SKEWING YOUR RESULTS!!

You do not have to ground balance for a fricking air test! To be honest a cheaper machine can be better machine. How whites gets you is they sell theuir detector for a big price then try and sell you another coil for better depth! For $800 bucks it should perform better than this! the garrett has a clean sharp sound the dfx is flutery and lacks a good solid tone. To be honest my whites 5900 does better on depth than the dfx and the mxt. all I have to do is give her more thresh and thats it.

Ground balancing is set for subtracting interference from mineral salts and in the air do not need! Any additional balancing reduces sensitivity! For this reason, the device does not make it on the air. The purpose of the test was to check how the device works in the programs by default in the same conditions.

Your an idiot!!! First off air tests don't mean shit. Your batteries in the DFX were only at 10.9 volts and it wasn't even ground balanced. I've used the DFX exclusively for about 6 years and I know it will absolutely stomp an ASS250 without a doubt. Take the time to learn how to use the DFX before you compare it to a piece of shit!! The ASS250 isn't worth a damn in highly mineralized soil, you wouldn't even ba able to ground balance it, the soil itself would give a signal.
