The translator totally misinterpreted Sergey's answer. He said: "What did she say?", as the translator never translated the question. And she translated his words as "No, he said he was not happy".
@oravaskvirel - Thanks for clarifying. I always thought there was something strange about her "not being happy" as well as Sergei "prefering questions after the compulsories" -- It didn't make sense.
@ebesmom You are right. In fact, it can be seen that the translator had difficulties with understanding Russian: she was trying to move closer to Leonovich or Sergey when they were speaking. She did not understand Sergey's words but was probably shy to ask again.
@oravaskvirel Actually, the translator said "she wasn't happy." You can't hear what Katia says as the camera isn't near enough to her. Sergei did as "what did he say?" referring to David Santee. Then both Sergei and Leonovich said "Can all of the questions be asked after the long?" Meaning, they didn't want to be interviewed until after the long program. I'm guessing the translator didn't know the term for "long program" which is why she just made something up.

You know, there isn't a pair skating today that could touch Gordeeva & Grinkov. They were exquisite.
