Wow, that really is a big event! hahaha Is the woman your sister? She and the kids are very beautiful :)

Here in Brazil is not everybody that do such a big party... but we do invite all family members to birthdays when such person is a baby or kid... When the person is turning 15 years old, a huge celebration like that in your video is done, in a big place, with lots of music, a ballroom dance, photos of the person's life.

Or the party or a trip (women usually choose to do the party)

HEy its the same in Indian tradition as well. Except, the choosing the gift, isn't on their first b-day, but during the 6th month of life, when they starts to crawl . The ceremony,is clubbed with their introduction to solid food for the first time. The elders in the family, feed the baby his first solid meal, and bless them, with healthy & prosperity. After the that, the game begins where in the baby picks one of the articles, and the adults have fun on predicting what they will pick.

Still it's a wonderful tradition that shows the lovely culture of Korea. The event looks alot like what people would do in America for a wedding reception, besides the table in the front for the baby to choose his profession. :) Thank you for sharing it is nice to be able to see it.
