RCA used the Trade Mark name Radiola for many years. I'm not sure how many years, but the Radiola Guy has the history of the trade mark on his website.
Hi Rick, another splendid video well produced. As you know I'm giving a bit of support to someone to fix an old radio and I'm trying to encourage him to do exactly what you've so eloquently demonstrated in this video.
My next email will be to forward the link to this demo.
Rick, how do you manage to find so many interesting and very old radios?!
This set looks to be well taken-care of and sounds promising. What confuses me with old radios like these is how the components are very different from what I'm used to (40's+ technology) and I have a hard time identifying the parts. The wiring diagrams don't make sense to me in terms of signal flow and amplification because they used different methods back then. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action!
It has taken years and years to collecting these radios. My Stromberg Carlson 501-A is very rare and the matching working floor speaker very very rare.
Great video. I learn something new every time I watch one of your Video's. I also learn every month at the local Antique Historical Radio Society of Alabama. We meet once a month for a class in Birmingham,Al. . Great Teacher there also. Keep up the good videos.
OH YA IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE. BEAUTIFUL RADIO. GLOW IN THE DARK RADIOS ARE IMPERVIOUS TO EMPs. AND THEY WORK SO MUCH BETTER. WD-11 TUBE USED FOR 3 FUNCTIONS AT ONCE IS JUST AMAZING. THANKS FOR SHARING.
@AllAmericanFiveRadio I FIND IT SIMPLY AMAZING HOW IT DOES IT ALL AT ONCE. I GOT TO GET MY OLD RADIOLA SENIOR UP AND RUNNING. WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET THE TUBE FROM.
YOUR VIDEOS ARE THE BEST IN RADIO. I DON'T ALWAYS COMMENT, BUT I WATCH THEM AND DOWNLOAD THEM.

Hi Rick:
I like the way you slowly & methodically showed how you ohmed out all the coils in this set.
Sounds like you didn't have the schematic and then proceeded to draw your own. Nice work!
Thanks,
Tom.
PS Why don't you check my new site out & let me know how I'm doing.

I use "Antique Electronic Supply" for a lot of parts. For early tubes and other early part I use "Play Things Of Past". Just Google their names.
