  • The coupe body has such a simple, very convincing style, completely classic. Every line is right.

What I've read says that the Continentals were largely hand-built, with lots of custom-made parts because the tooling for mass production wasn't done.

  • I have been looking as just a commited auto fan for a while....You got my mojo a-runnnin !

  • YE GODS that engine sounds AWFUL!

The valves aren't adjusted right. Back in the day you

could put your ear on the hood with them idling and

barely hear anything. I remember that very well.

Can't find mechanics worth a crap anymore.

  • Very nice. just have to straighten that wheelman.

  • What a beast engine and a marvellous Lincoln !

  • @Tchobil The zephyr V-12s weren't much more displacement

or horsepower than V-8s. Their 12 pistons were little bitty things.

The V-12s had a bit more torque and were smoother except

this particular example the engine sounds like the apocalypse.

Poorly adjusted tappets. On those back in the day all you

heard was a low "hum", not that infernal clatter - trap. They

weren't half bad on gas either if you didn't push them too hard.

  • Heard of a V12 but never saw one.

  • @MrBushman55 After driving, can say it makes excellent low end torque, very smooth running engine. This car has a 3 speed manual with overdrive and will cruise the highways at 60mph without a sweat. Really well built cars.

  • @samspace81 how many gallons og gas does it suck you per mile?
