  • I actually LIKED the painted front and rear bumpers and hood ornamentation... NICE touch- GREAT idea!

  • south dakota

  • Dang that's nice! Great car!

  • @06DESMARAIS, Wow, your so cool, all im saying is dont just watch a youtube video to say bad shit about it. Its like walking up to a person at a car show and saying "your car is a pile of shit" Its just plain rude.

  • Beautiful car. I like your taste on bumpers.. Match car colors.. I like see people's different style of car than same style on cars. You know seeing silver bumper all the time. I have 1966 chevy pick up. Their bumper are matte black match matte black on my truck.. Love your car man.

  • Beautiful build love the car and sound.

  • @77LincolnContinental No thanks Pal.

  • @falconwing1 i say leave it alone as well, that things beautiful

  • @falconwing1

If you want to de emphasize the hood rockets, I would suggest getting some exhaust u bend tubing and cutting out sections to weld to the hood, and then smooth it out. That's what I had done to mine. It looks great that way, and it's sooo much easier to clean than those rockets. Plus, it's lighter and makes waxing easier, too.

BTW, I do think that chromed bumpers look best on a 57. Chrome is MUCH more chip resistant that paint, too.

  • perfikt cool car

  • Beautiful

  • @06DESMARAIS Awwww Hell NO! Chevy's kick the shit outta Fords.... I have a blue & white RHD 67 Impala, being restored and sprayed black. I'm now lookin for a black LHD 57 Bel Air to play with as well...

  • Wow lot's of nit pickers on here, all i have to say is your 57 is kickass beautiful machine you have there....

  • Awesome, thats my car, love the 57

  • Sounds great, love the color & paint, wheels are awesome.

  • very nice car. i like the painted bumpers and bullits.

  • @06DESMARAIS nuuh uhhh

  • @06DESMARAIS, Im a Ford guy, but why even say that? No one gives a flying fuck.

  • Gotta put some chrome bumpers on it. And some chrome hood spears

  • @fiddlerpin no thanks

  • @falconwing1 Without chrome it kinda blends into Honda Turf.

  • @Supergungun That explains why I was always asked if it was a Honda Civic! Thanks for pointing that out.

  • @falconwing1 The chrome is a lot of its soul.

  • @Supergungun My car is an atheist, so no worries.

  • @falconwing1 If you want a soulless car why don't you just drive one of those soulless new dodge chargers or soulless Camaros? Why do you have to strip a 57' Chevy of its beauty?

  • Cool cars

  • is the transmission a t56? thanks

  • It's a Bel-Air 2 Door Sedan. It is not a Hard Top...not a Coupe...not a Sports Coupe.... not a 210....not even a Del-Ray....but a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 Door Sedan!

Did you know there was a 210 Sports Coupe? It had no window posts yet it had trim a lot like a 210 Sedan. It was ugly too!

  • @1971SuperLead This classics a hard top. And don't say no because can the whole top fold or store away? No, so its a hard top my friend no matter what why you put it. And a sedan is a hard top, so it was some how in this universe be A hardtop.

  • @06DESMARAIS I can see you weren't selling Chevys in 1957, for in 1957 Chevrolet called this a Sedan and the Sports Coupe a Hardtop. I can see why you want to call it a hard top, but you gotta understand that in 1957 this wasn't called a Hard Top.

  • @1971SuperLead No i wasn't selling chevys in the 50's. I have a 1957 FORD FAIRLANE 500 CLUB SEDAN or TOWN SEDAN & it's called a HARDTOP. So, how is not a hardtop ans somehow a diff. kind of top all of a suden.

  • I live near kurri. I haven't seen it go by :(

  • saw a 57 all original at kurri kurri (australian town) All original left hand drive

  • You, young man, have certainly brought back the memories of my first car, which I sold cheap not too long after buying it...

  • she looks great but you should chrome your twin torpedos.

  • Cool '57.

I see you got a Colorado classic car license plate. I use to live in Colorado for 12 years. Nice state.

  • no car is more beautiful than a 1957 chevy,,, i mean ,... no car!!

  • lmao,, nope i like my 55 its much better,, borlas, 3 inch exh. 496 withj a 8-71 bds blower, if i had that or any 57 i would sell it for a 55 everyday of the week i like all cars but 55 is my fav. and i mean no car would replace it,, and i mean no car lmao

  • sweet car. way to stay carbureted

  • Looks like a Belair to me. If the Vin is starts VC its a v8 belair. The C being the Belair. A 210 would be a B prefix. Love your car my friend. Far less of these around than hardtops anyways. Around 60,000 made of these verses about 150,000 or so hardtops.

  • It is a VC. I was not aware that there were less of these than the hard tops though.

    That is interesting....

  • Oh yes far less of these produced in Bel-Air. You have one nice factory V8 Bel-Air car:) I love the color and custom work you've done!

  • very nice car

  • Beautiful 57 I love the color

  • soz hard... u hav a chevrolet

     BELL END!!!

  • nice 210 post . not a belair.

  • How do you figure? The VIN checked out as a Bel-Air.

  • This very well could be a Bel-Air 2 door sedan. You may be thinking of the Bel-Air sport coupe which is a hardtop... Remember 1957 had about twenty different body/trim combinations...

  • @radishking2-- 210's dont have gold emblems, louvers on the front fenders, and stainless on top of the fins only extend a few inches. iv'e been working with my dad on a 57 Bel Air for seven years, i think i know what they look like. nice Bel Air, Falcon.

  • This is my favorite car of all time. Although, I would be afraid to even own one of those, you know some son of a bitch would try to steal it.

  • dude dont be afraid to own a beautiful car like this. my dad and just purchased one and its fantastic.

  • HOLY SHIT !

  • That is a beautiful car, sounds real nice too. I love Bel Air's. I'd like to see Chevy bring it back, I wonder how they'd make it look.

  • That is one hell of a ride and it sounds real healthy, have you ever did a test run with your car to see how fast it is, how much horse power does it have and how much horse power at the rear wheels.

  • OMFG that is sexy

  • give me the car

  • Awesome

  • I want my 327 to sound like that

  • Magnaflow...

  • which one

  • damn thats a clean 57

  • yeah nice car :D

  • i want a 327 in my old 56 chevy truck. and not trying to sound stupid but can you have a 6 speed with 2.73 gears?

  • hell why not try and let us know. lol

  • nice car :)

  • I have a 57 and I dirve it every day and I eat up every min of it.

  • ou said some guy bought it from you and is taking it to a new level?

Why, this car is perfect as is!!

    A pinch lower, at most.

Dare I ask, but what has the other guy done to it so far?

  • Unfortunately I lost his email in a computer crash and have not been able to contact him so I am not sure where he is now. Hopefully he will see this and let me know where the car is now.

He swapped the motor, took the fuel cell out of the trunk, rechromed the bumpers, reworked a lot of the suspension that apparently was not up to par, re doing the interior which was nice but basic, and he will be painting it black, its original color.

Interestingly enough, I sold this car a YEAR ago today!

  • That's too bad! Swap the 327? Never figure why. I have a fuel-injected 327(roughly 400hp) in my '50 chevy coupe...one NASTY little engine. Especially when paired with a 4spd th400 and '69 Camaro RS rear end(*rebuilt).

    So, he's doing a mild-custom!? Good.

    Suspension, I could understand.

I'm all for big blocks, but getting rid of a 327!? That's beyond me.

So what engine did he put in?

A year ago today? I'd be miserable!

He better have paid you a handsome amount for it!

  • I *THINK* he put a bored 350 in it. But I agree that 327 was great fun...loved the torque and it was FAST for such a huge car, the 6 speed was nice.

I do miss it, and it was cool owning it when it turned 50 years old too. I only drove it 750 miles in the 2 years I owned it so it was not getting proper use. I am glad it went to someone that is enjoying it.

  • Sticking with the small block!

Older cars are ALOT of fun. I've owned my '50 Chevy for 2 years-and it's still in peices! :(

But everyone still thinks it's bad ass.

I plan to keep it a daily driver.

750 miles, 2 years? Atleast you kept it in good shape!

Was your transmission auto, or manual!?

And if I may ask, do you remember where you picked it up?

  • It was a 6 speed. I think I got it from a guy in Michigan, and he got it out of a barn in Oklahoma (so the story goes...)

  • Damn. I was looking for one to!

God knows...in manual, I'd find a way to blow the engine with the engine off! lol.

I can drive tap-shift or full-auto, but not full manual.

  • i want your car!

  • oo really.. well u did a great job on it when u had it

  • thanks man that helps me out alot... i love your car

  • Unfortunately its not mine any longer. I sold it to a guy in California that is taking it to another level. He has done some great work on it in the past few months.

  • lol i didnt even read it... i want to lower my car but i didnt no if i had to buy springs to or jus spindles

  • I have talked to people that have done both...and nobody has said anything negative about either. I would get spindles if you plan on driving more agressively, but springs would be fine for cruising.

  • did u jus use drop spindles or did u put smaller coils to...

  • Info in the description....

  • ive wanted that car since i was 11!

  • I know the feeling! I had a 1957 Chevy hot wheel when I was like 5 that was my favorite car. It was pretty cool to go into the garage and see a real one.

  • nice car :X

  • get*

  • man whats the mpg on one of them things im thinkin imma gte one eh?

  • how much did u sell that BEAST for anyway?

  • About a $100 (Raymond voice.....)

  • that is a sweet ride!! and it's in great shape, too!! keep that thing forever!!

  • Sold it last December..... New owner is completely redoing it!

  • I have a 57 also, Looking for the right color. I was going to shoot it brandywine but I think its too dark. What color is yours and who makes the paint? Thanks

  • I honestly don't know...i bought it painted already.

  • I appreciate all the people that keep our generations cars alive.

  • T-56 Trans out of a late model camaro?

  • Additional info just added to description...

  • pure beauty

  • nice car

  • nice....
