No, I don't see what you mean. English is widely spoken in SA. It is also widely spoken in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Namibia, Zimbabwe, etc....they used to be British colonies and that is one of relics of British rule.That does not mean that people don't also speak one or two other languages as well. But the language used in education, most official government communications and in most commercial transactions is English.
