For those who have been unsuccessful with the jump on secret 2 and who have an old PC like mine: try setting the video settings to low for everything to maximise the FPS. After attempting the jump literally dozens of times on normal settings I made it almost immediately after increasing the FPS. Then did it again to make sure that I wasn't going mad. Sounds weird but it makes a difference. I hope that helps.
