The quality of Toronto FC's support is, in part, reflective of the quality of BMO Field. Unfortunately it looks like most of the other MLS Clubs are playing in the Wal Mart parking lot...obviously D.C. spray painted the ashphalt green for this match.
DC United has had GRASS (UNLIKE TORONTO) for its entire existance and never had gridiron marks on the pitch. They shared with BASEBALL not AMERICAN FOOTBALL you IDIOT. AND NOW THEY ARE THE ONLY TEAM PLAYING AT RFK YOU PILLOCK.
ignorant TFC noobs, with 0 knowledge of the league believing all the bullshit propaganda they get fed. just shut the fuck up and respect your elders, give you 20 years and your shit team will never achieve half of what D.C. United achieved in its first couple much less its first 12 years
haha sounds like it would be a good derby , Change places with buffalo please so we could come down there in numbers , dc is waaayyyy to far though ... =(
hahah its ok we will stay in canada, whats with all this shite talk about tfc supporters ?? i don get it .... i guess u cant really talk until youve actually been to a home game , were getting an extra 20,000 seats =) and were going to have a 2 deck 10,000 seat supporter section =)
Toronto fans/ Canadians in general are not passionate about football, they are pasionate about starting shit with Americans, and use football as a platform to do so.
Check out Canada vs Mexico here on youtube. Stadium 3/4 empty, mostly Mexicans. If it was against the States though you'd be sure to buy tickets to help you deal with your inferiority complex.
There are currently only EIGHT Canadian players in MLS, source: mlsnet(dot)com. This proves your indifference about the game itself.
Really?? Your the idiots who came up with something called a football that was not round nor was it played with your feet. None cares for your retarded view! Have a nice day nub.
These aren't "views" they are "facts". I'll go over them again for you.
#1. Canada is not going to the world cup but the U.S. is (as always)
#2. Most Canadians LOVE NFL.
#3. Your national team sucks balls and was defeted by Jamaca 3-0.
#4. Only eight Canadians play in MLS, 5 of which play for Toronto so you don't have more Americans (also 5) on the team than nationals (another example of your inferiority complex).
I swear D.C is in last right now... And Toronto are on fire. You guy's got lucky to face us before we bought our new super stars. Just wait till you're visit to BMO Field... D.C United, last place, where they rightfully belong.
DC's not in last, they're in 9th. If you were talking about conference, then I'm sorry, you were right. But, we've got a could team right now, they're just having trouble gelling for some reason.
I will give it to you though, Toronto's is doing well this season. I'm glad they are because of the great support they have up there. Toronto deserves a winner. (except when they play DC of course)
To me, the 1st and 3rd DC goals looked offsides. If you watch where the scorers are when the ball is played in they look offsides (I think both players missed the header on goal1 and gallardo looks slightly offsides on goal3). It's close but just sayin.
The last goal setup was pure class by Niell - you can tell the Argentines are gonna make an impact this year.
BTW, I watched live but missed the start...was the red card deserving? It's hard to tell...definitely vicious but did he get ball?
How you could call Luciano's goal offside is beyond me, hell he's still on side when the ball touches the ground even. Gallardo is def still onside though when the ball is played, though its close.
Niell needs to shoot, no one but TFC is going to allow him that kind of time to meander in front of goal, and certainly not Pachuca.
Harmse made no attempt to play the ball whatsoever.
On Luciano's, if you look at where he is when the original header comes in at 17 seconds, he is offside. Like I said, it appeared to me that McTavish and the defender missed their headers altogether. If they touched it then he's on, but otherwise he's off.
Again, I said Gallardo was close.
Niell did hold the ball too long but give him time to gain confidence. He seems to have some skill on the ball from the little of him I've seen.
On the red card, I was asking if it was harsch because it's hard for me to tell on this grainy vid and I missed the start of the game on PPV. Eyes must be getting old!
I only ask because it seems the refs have been a bit uneven so far this year. That penalty on Abel Xavier versus Colorado looked like a well-timed tackle to me (he's still not that good though - too slow). There were several other questionable calls too, so was just asking if this was well deserved or not. Thanks for the reply.
This game was FREAKING AWESOME! I went to the game for my first time and the best experience ever! I plan on going to more games this year. I am available to tag along in the future if anyone is interested. DC UNITED, DC UNITED, DC TU MADRE!!!!
