amazing video. I'm seriously considering doing this hike in June or July, however, I'm curious, if we only have one vehicle... that's a problem, is it worth just going 1/2 way and hiking back to your car? Lol, I know that's a bit ridiculous and redundant (seeing so many of the same rocks twice). Anyhow, lovely video and thanks for sharing!
@punkmechanicalkid seriously, you only want to go through the boulder filed once
going half way and back to the car would be crazy, and probably make you feel dissatisfied, there is a guy up there whos name is ironically willie nelson, he runs a hiker pick up service, or drop off, so you could leave your car at Ozette for example and he could take you to Rialto, or something like that
The fungus under the log...amazing. You know...Georgia O'Keefe would've found it....um....very interesting. I can see her painting it. She could've done for fungus what she did for flowers...with much the same eye, if you know what I'm saying.
Thanks for the video....the opening picture is my desktop background!
Love the music and the way you use wonderful still shots along with video and commentary. Aren't sea otters fun? What a purely magical place to be for a helping of blueberry cheesecake. That beach is absolutely mystical and beautiful isn't it? Ok, the rocks are a pain, but it must keep out the less dedicated. You really EARN the right to be there , eh? Beautiful still shots as well!
I had a conversation with a bloke on a bus from Vancouver to Seattle " they should put a road down that coast, the only way anyone can see it is if they hike for miles!"
well yes thats the point, thats why its still beautiful
Yes There are many fishing floats that get washed up[ on these beaches, if you are extremely lucky you can find beautiful glass ones all the way from Japan that travel thousands of miles on the Japan Current, didnt find a glass one but I did find a lovely gree fiberglass one all the way from Japan. In prince Rupert there is a Fishing boat ( The Kaza Maru) that got washed all the way from Japan, a long story, the Japanese fisherman died

What IS that music? It's so stirring. Sounds like music to do great and grand things to.

there are lots of pictures like that on my facebook photos, you could just save them to desk top.
imagine being there with sunsets like that every evening, with a driftwood fire, and after dark, the milky way and a billion stars
maybe your frying pan and some real bacon and sausages on the camp fire

More great beaches.
Do those trees get decorated on purpose by hikers? :)
