I think its a good cover. I mean, Immortal can never sound like another band,but what they did here was paying tribute by recording the song in "Darkthrone-style" -4 tracks,primitive, grim and no effects.

But I think Abbath's voice would sound better coverering old Bathory songs. (First 2 albums)

@ih8pinkos i'll admit, pure holocaust is probably my favorite. that one had abbath bass and drums. but when demonaz fucked up his hand and abbath started to write all the music; shit like sons of northern darkness came out. i dont care what kind of metal anyone listens to. that album will appeal to anyone who listens to it, even someone whos anti bm. i believe it anyway.

Sweet amputation :) I remember them demos excellent man and this sound is great look at the 1st album its more bass which makes it even better when Abbath was on bass thats why the guitar is up more now i suppose as hes guitarist now
