  • uhmmmmm i don't like it...

  • horrible, espantosa versión de un tema hermoso. chorrea grasa, es un asco total

  • Dave Paton - more famous for his bass playing with - Pilot, Alan Parsons, Elton John, shows he is also a maestro with the 6 strings. Keep it up Dave. "The Flavours" are not bad either!

  • Absolutely wonderful

  • 1 guy is depth:[

  • esta pieza musical, suena un poco a Joan Sebastian Bach, en algunos momentos asi como el aire español que le da la guitarra de david paton ex pilot.

  • What amazes me is he plays WITH HIS EYES CLOSED!!! He is a god!

Geniale.

  • Even though each syth is awsome...It's useally the one who plays that is good. And awsome... :)

  • @lifeseeker1 wow, his mother could b an artist too. . Im gna make a song vy painnting my brains up

  • what year is this?

  • @spamhead2k 1992

  • Of course Wakeman doesn't look at the keys, why would God need his eyes open to play impossible music perfectly?

  • Of course Wakeman doesn't look at the keys, why would God need his eyes open to play impossible music perfectly?

  • Great work by Paton on the guitar....pitifully underrated musician !!

  • Rick Wakeman is a god of the music

  • the original is perfect cant be redone

  • Nice! Only 2 people creating such magnificent music. Thank you.

  • wakeman doesn't look at his key at all. DANG !!

  • @blablaablabla

I saw an interview with Rick, & he was asked about why he closes his eyes.

He said his mother told him to see music as a painting, and in his mind, to paint the picture.

    Interesting concept.

  • 1000 THANX.....sooooo goood !!!!

  • where i could get the guitar tab of this song?

  • Who was the composer Rick mentioned?

  • Prokofiev.

  • Forgotten how good David Paton is - I kind of lost track of him post Pilot and Alan Parsons.

  • I love both those guys, but this is rythmically falling totally apart most of the time.

Rick is rushing those staccatos, while David is trying to hold him back :-/

  • Love this. Rick, not much more you can say about him that hasn't been said/written. David Paton, sorry I discovered this very talented musician and singer late even though I've been familiar with much of his work.

  • Wow!!! The loneliness coming out of that opening guitar....

  • tango!

  • just one word maestro rick wakeman great musician. the synth roland d50 is a great keyboard one of the best roland have made.5++++++

  • Very cool posting.

Thank you so much nebrulla for sharing this great interpretation with me.

    Antonio

  • Brilliant - Dave I hope you've made a full recovery from your heart attack, get touring again !!!

  • One word: Fantastic! The D-50 is a wonderful instrument in hands of Wakeman!

  • The synth sounds just like a synth. But Paton is a surprise. I've never understood the logic of talented session musicians playing banal pop like January (actually, I love the music but the lyrics are banal and ruin whatever soul is present in the melody and arrangement). As for Wakeman - he's committed many sins but all is forgiven due to Life on Mars.

  • Hey Phil - One man's banal, another's great song. Are we talking music banality or music snobery? I think you should listen to his whole catalogue. Do you have to work for your money?

  • d50 mitica

  • My iTunes calls this "Lancelot and the Black Knight" for some reason.

  • Really great couple. Mythic Pilot&APP David Paton shows to be not only great bassist and singer but also virtuous ac. guitarist. Rick Wakeman and Lennon/McCartney don't need presentations.

  • No bad for a bass player... gaun yersel Davy. Hope you are well.

  • favoloso!!!!

  • It's magic (Pilot). Just love all his work. and Rick (6 wives), is awesome, too

  • The great Roland D-50 and Rick Wakeman playing it. Could it be any better? Makes me proud of owning a D-50

  • He's using Internal patch 14 (I-14) , right? D-50 rocks!

  • When i bought my D-50, the internal presets were gone. I have loaded some of the presets over to the synthesizer, such as "Living Calliope" and "Soundtrack".

  • They were? I didn't know that was possible. Living Calliope is an awesome patch though, and there's a lot of preset cards out there.

  • The previous owner removed all the presets replacing them with other sounds, good sounds. I have the presets on my computer, so I can send them to the synthesizer by MIDI.

  • All righty, that's okey I guess. As long as it isn't broke. Happy synthesizing xD

  • Thanks! All I need to do is to clean the touchboard under the keys to make them function properly :D

  • incredible

  • Get well soon David, and get those Magic fingers going again!

    x

  • A great advert for the legendary Roland D-50 synth, 2 fantastic musicians in Dave & Rick.

    Just excellent.

  • David your fingers are magic!!!

    x

  • FAB !!

  • spell bound

  • you can say that again michelle

    watched this three time now

    fantatic

    suex

  • David Paton is so very talented. Words cannot describe the beauty of his playing.

Thank you very much for posting.

    Michelle xxxx
