ok , i hardly ever sign in to even comment on songs unless its important ...however anyone who thinks those burnt out california morons from tools are better than led zep have either 1: taken too many trips or 2 : want to blow the members of tool, Tool cant even riff fast , they struggle to riff ROFL
THE THERMIN AT 4;20....I HAD A BOOT LEG WHERE YOU HERE A FIRECRACKER GO OFF AND AN OW! THEN SOMEONE GOES AWWWWWW EHHHHHHHHH THEN THE WILDEST THERMIN WITH DELAY INTRODUCES JONSEY'S EPIC(YES EPIC) PIANO SOLO JUST LIKE THIS ONE AT END OF VIDEO.GOD I MISS THAT TAPE.WILL PART 2 BE THE SHIT?
@chris102448 Maynard James Keenan would be a used car salesman or some Vegas bound tranny hooker if not for zeppelin. Zeppelin may have remade it but guess who else did. That's right. TOOL, and they copied zeppelin's version. Fucking troll. Fuck Tool.
John Paul Jones was playing a Fender Rhodes and running it through a Leslie that people usually used for a Hammond B-3 . . . very cool . .. very ingenius!!! PERFECT SOUND for that song!!!
There's nothing like going to a concert where everyone around you is on ludes, and the band is playing 45+ minute versions of every song while the crowd tosses lit joints, M80s and smoke bombs on stage. Long live the 70s.
Huh? So you're saying if Zeppelin didn't exist then Tool would've come up with No Quarter, measure for measure the way Zeppelin did? They cover the song because they were gutsy, and did justice for Led Zeppelin, not because Zeppelin just so happened to exist first. The point I'm making is, if Zeppelin did not write No Quarter no one else in history (including Tool) or in the future would've ever wrote it, and hence Tool would've never had Zeppelin's No Quarter to cover.
they dont promote any of their albums or tours. look em up. if you listen to zepplin or floyd you will like them. considered to be the modern day zepplin or floyd. their music is heavier though but the singer is amazing
Stupid is as stupid does...my goodness you guys are young...dumb and a waste of time. It does get tiresome...JPJ is a great bass player...even back in the day they new it...and you can't see it. He was a respected player when they started..you just missed it all. He doesn't shout for attention...he just makes the music better
John Paul Jones was a professional arranger before he joined led zeppelin. and his father was a professional classical pianist. so he learned piano at a young age. youre right ledzeppelin8617 he doesnt get enough credit. for his keyboarding or his bass.
John Paul Jones is a much better keyboardist than many people give him credit for. He could improvise so well. Great song. Also, how could you possibly dislike Robert Plant's voice?
I consider this tour to be zeppelin's best secret. they had their best set-list and did their best shows, but for some odd reason nothing has ever been released!! come on jimmy throw us a bone
Yeah, this setlist is so amazing, the only minor complain would be The Battle of Evermore and the common change between In my Time of Dying and Over The hills and far away, they were too strict on the setlist this year but nearly everything is perfect.
They should have brought Black Dog, Heartbreaker and Comunication breakdown more though......

john paul jones is the back bone of zeppelin. thats why when they united back in the 1990's it was a complete failer because jpj wasnt in it

Well that tour(page & plant ) was not exactly a failure , it sold out every venue, but It certainly would have benefitted from JPJ being along

oh please...
why would jpj not get enough credit?
considering that the best selling and most popular zep
albums feature jimmy page (III, IV, graffiti) and not jpj (houses, out door)..
.. jpj is being put in the right place by the critics. i wouldn't give him any more credit than he has gotten
jpj is the least prominent of all the members by a mile
