Nice collection man...my brother collects alot of t206's...I have been primarily buying alot of mantle's and play ball from the 40's...just picked up a jimmy foxx rookie.....very nice collection...that matthewson is a nice card...
info... The 1st card you show is a 1882 H804-11 Cosack & Co. Victorian trade card, the 4th card is a 1888 H804-3 Buffords Victorian trade card. Good comment on Lionel Carter. Nice collection.
I personally dont like T206 cards myself, way too common and boring now. I like the rare stuff, ie T204, T208, T211, T214, T215, E90-3, E97 B&W, E99, E100, E103, E104, E105, etc. Keep your collection broad and it will keep you interested for many years to come.
Pretty amazing collection cheif do you collect like recents too. Also i suggest thatyou hang on to those for maybe 20 more years and then get then appraised. They are in pretty good condition
@ausipockets Yeah I collect a ton of recents, both modern players and legends. Just autographs, though. Check out my other videos and you'll see them.
Love the variety in your collection. That Nap Lajoie is fantastic. GREAT that it was your grandpa's. I put up a video recently--a few T206 HOFers (no PSA 8's though).
Also, how much did you pay for the NM Lajoie?? Today a NM ANYTHING woulf fetch at least 600 bucks.
My t206 collection now consists of 46 cards, I think. The best ones: Cicotte, Chesbro, Hickman, Wheat, Foley White, Mordecai Brown port., Hugh Duffy, and I had a Walter J but had to sell it fot a months worth of rent.
@TheCheatingBastard Yes, I have gotten another T206 card since this video. I also got a T205 and an early Mantle recently. I'm going to be posting another huge update video with all the new cards I've bought over the last several months. For a good idea of what's in the video, check the "channel comments" area on my page. As for the Lajoie card, it was my grandpa's originally. He told me he bought it for forty bucks or something, years before the card was graded.
@nwpamundsen The "T" in T206 stands for tobacco. The T206 cards make up a tobacco set. For other areas like caramel and candy, there would be the letter "E" in the front.
Thank you! I'm 14 now. Most of the really, really, high end cards, like the Lajoie, were originally my grandpa's. A lot of the other stuff (Mainly 1950's) I bought myself.
Wow a Nap Lajoie PSA 8 ! That's incredible! The grading isnt always consistant , if you were to resend some of those in I bet youd get different gradings on some.
Phenominal collection! Love the Walter Johnson as well!
Thanks! I've always loved the T206 set. All the best players like Ty Cobb are in it. I just might consider getting the Mathewson regraded by SGC. They seem to go a bit easier on small imperfections like the nudge in the corner, as long as the rest of the card looks great. Thanks for subbing!
Thanks for your comment! I'll be making another video shortly, featuring some of the new cards I just got and a few game used cards of hall of famers like Stan Musial, Carl Yaz, Joe Cronin, Joe Tinker, Jimmy Foxx, Brooks Robinson, and more! Unfortunately, I'm gonna be at Boy Scout camp all of next week and can't post any videos then. But I'll be sure to post one when I get back. Thanks for watching!
Hey Tommy -- AWESOME collection!! Thanks for posting. Great to see such a nice vintage collection up on youtube. I'm going to check out your other video now!!
I like the older ones too. But I can never find the real old ones, like the T206's and stuff.
I am gonna start searching for more Pre War cards.

Nice cards... Bethany College, fyi, is in Bethany, WV, very near Wheeling, WV. It's a very small but well respected liberal arts college.

Man, where's your Roger Connor or Tony Mullane cards?
This collection is weak! LOL! I'm just kidding bro. Great cards!
Personally, I like The Bender portrait the best from the T206's. The Huggins is sharp!
I need a Walter Johnson Portrait
