Great breakfast... I use 2 slices of thin bread every morning. I have 2 eggs and a bit of milk with 1 spoon of cinnamon in mixture for 2 thin breads. I add honey on top when cooked, very tasty healthy. No unnececery sugar

I really wonder why it's called french toast. We make it in Italy too (and we often add a slice of mozzarella between two slices of eggy bread and fry it all together... delicious if you use good mozzarella) and I'm sure that since it's a very simple thing also most of the other countries have it too. It's not like we need a frenchman to put a slice of bread and some eggs together.

Adding sugar is the "key" ingredients. My Mom made it for us when we were growing up and she was "french" and always put sugar. I know it taste good w/o it but I love my Mom's old recipe. Thanks for sharing.
