@PsychoPoet406 i agree 100% this theme shivers my spine too. It evocates me feelings too complex to describe. I used to play this being 12,13... im almost 30 now and i still hold my breath and do like i am dodging somthin' when the lasers come out of nowhere in the fifth stage. I even "dodge" the crumbling ship! haha :)

Maybe here they are they are couple or maybe not (but the ship is 2 manned for sure as seen in most illustrations) , maybe just pals, or maybe the girlfriend or boyfriend waiting home.. man i would hug my flying comrade like that too after the last 2 stage bosses.. holy shit xD
