As far I know horns makes elephant more angry and they can become more dangerous best trick is to give more accelerate to your vehicle which generally afraid the elephants. Blowing horn works here in the video but may not be the best way. In north india mainly in Uttaranchal jeep driver generally use the technique of more acceleration

This is the usual technics we using in such situationd and all jeep drivers knows this who working in pathanam thitta district, moozhiyaar forest. when I worked in police, we had duty at moozhiyar dams and we faced a lot such situations and escaped only by not moving, but on all the lights and horns.after some time he will go back.

Awesum, man i hav bin involved in 3-4 elephant scares but none so intense as this, really awesome. Gr8 work driver. nd ppl stop lol ing, it aint easy 2 do dat, imagine a 10000 pound animal comin at you like a car. They can run really fast despite their size

Oh...man....That really helps...I think everyone should fix air horns and roof top high power lamps, especially when you travel through such jungles...., still I've to say...It was an awesome survival...
