This film adaption is totally ridiculous... Why are the statues outside moving? Why are the walls bleeding? That never happens in the story... The building isn't haunted. It is clear in the story that either the teacher is crazy or the children really are what Sidney claims to see. Apparently there is a new independent film coming out sometimes this year, hopefully it'll be better than this.

@ZeskoWhirligan I think some of his stuff is scary, and his attention to detail is Incredible, He paints a picture with words so well! I find that many Authors have imitated or emulated what he does so easily. If you are not scared by him, maybe he is just not for you, but I don't think he, or his stories/movies are lame or ridiculous!

@Bigrusssthefuss Point taken. King has gone through several transitions as a writer, and there's no doubt the guy knows how to ply his trade, okay. My point is that King's WRITING is one thing and his MOVIES are another. I dunno what it is, but Stephen King's juice just evaporates when it hits the silver screen. For example, the success of "The Shining" as a film was Stanley Kubrick's doing, not Stephen King's. But King gives away his art to Hollywood, lets them twist and distort it. Sad.

That was really well-done! Atmosphere was perfect. I especially liked the shadow effect of the girl's clawed hand elongating. The use of flickering light and darkness was balanced just right. People think horror is easy, but it ain't. I look forward to seeing more in the future from Mr. Villela, including the rest of this short
