  • love the vids what about froch vs johnson though

  • Have to be leaning towards Ward now.

  • Who do you think will win the super six tournement?

  • Ward won't be able to bully Froch like he has others. that being said, Ward is too quick, too accurate and too good on the inside for Froch. the problem being that you can never count Froch out of a fight, all the time the clock is ticking down, Froch has a chance of beating Ward. people in the States are too quick to assess fighters based on 1 or 2 performances. Froch's timing, slipping, control of range and punch power are enough to give anybody at 168 OR 175 problems IMO

  • @dbudge218 You're right. Froch cannot be overlooked. He has heart, a chin and style. Great combination to make things very interesting!

  • I dont think Abraham would be allowed to pull out of the Ward fight, he's signed a deal and isnt injured or anything, yeah he should go back to middle weight after the super six.

  • I can't see Abraham going back down to 160, he struggled to make the weight in his last few fights. He looked great against Taylor, Was getting completely outboxed by dirrell, but in the last 4 was cutting off the ring really well and was getting to him. But the Froch fight I think the punishment he was taking left him with no gas in the tank to stage a comeback. I think he has a chance against Ward, he still has his ko punch, Ward to me looks wild at times and could get countered. good video

  • Froch has got this tournament in the bag, don't blame mr calzaghe 4 dukin this guy, froch gets 2 strong 2 wards the end of fights and has a chin of iron and probly wud of beat joe! hope carl gets the chance 2 fight kessler again soon, cuz im pretty sure he will, especialy if the fights in England

  • @shakeyjake151 I wouldn't be looking past Ward. That is going to be a tough one!

  • @bigragu it would be wrong to look past johnson, but i feel he has the beating of ward and johnson,

  • @bigragu Froch will beat Ward as long as they have a ref who prevents Wards dirty tactics. Ward has great skills but Froch has different styles.

  • @sugarraygras I should be a good fight either way. Don't be fooled into thinking Ward is a 1 trick pony. He can bang or box.

  • @bigragu Happy new year. Ward is a two trick pony, but without a compliant ref his best trick is nullified. Jokes a side, I know Ward is the goods, as is Froch. I just believe that Bika would have been beaten easily by Froch however Ward struggled in that fight. I cant wait for the next round.

  • @sugarraygras One has to wonder if Ward took the Bika fight too lightly and is looking ahead to the actual Super 6 fights. You must admit he dominated Kessler in a way Froch couldn't if we are going to look at other performances. That is a common opponent for them and Ward looked superior.

  • @bigragu What you say is true but with some special considerations taken into account. First, I felt that Ward used quite a few dirty moves against Kessler which seemed to threw him off his game and the fact that Kassler is like Ward in the way they both like to fight at home. Kessler was hugely motivated for Froch but Carl turned up 3 days before the fight and I believe he thought he would beat Kessler easy, however I had Froch beating Kessler by two points. The draw is a joke.

  • @bigragu

    No it won't.

Keep that headbutting hug-meister at a distance with the jab and Andre 'Fraud' will be a lost puppy.

  • @imperialpod LOL! Ward just likes getting close to his opponents! The only place he'll get a ref to keep them at distance will be in the states.

  • @bigragu

Well,as long as its not in bloody Oakland ....AGAIN........we'll see.

Regarding getting 'close' to his opponents, personally, I think its a pheromone thing.

Basically, theres only 2 people in this world called Andre.

1 - The 8th Wonder of the world former WWF wrestler Andre the Giant

    2 - Er.......well.........erm................gay people.

  • Hey big ragu, the start of your song sounds like the start of MJ earth song!! lol

  • Carl did really well...i think Glancoffe is a proper challenge, he did Clinton Woods over a couple of times (once officially, but unoficially twice) and whenever he wins it's unexpected, which has been a lot of times. I personally think Arthur should stay in for the tournament, and himself, you never know..he needs to be a whole lot fresher and sparky in the ring though as Ward will box his ears off early otherwise...on occasion Wards balance has lookedoff, you never know.

  • Author looked like a kid fighting Froch. I agree, Froch boxed lovely and that is Author's Achilles" heel--boxing.

  • fair play big ragu u do reply to fans. i dont think i seen a khan maidana fight, i think khan will domanite

  • @jj1xxxx I try my best to reply! If you take the time to watch and comment I can take some time to get back to you! Thank you for your time!

  • The one thing Abraham needs to do is to start wearing blue or back trunks, because I think we're all sick of seeing him sweat through his white ones.

  • as usual bigragu you are my personal fountain of boxing knowledge

  • @gillri LOL! Hope the fountain continues to flow! :)

  • good analysis..agree with you about Abraham/Ward..no one wants to see that fight and it could potentially ruin Abraham's career if he loses badly again..however, unless he gets "injured", Abraham's probably contractually obligated to fight Ward. Good luck Showtime trying to sell that crappy bout to the fans..they'll need it!

  • @duane1073 that fight will be a hard sell!

  • Froch really impressed me on that fight

  • good vid as always carl can win the competition, but was i the only one to find his girlfriends screaming so anoying that i had to watch the lastr4 rounds on mute, imagine living next door to that lol

  • Hey BG.......Just arrived back from Helsinki......what a great performance from Carl.....plus I got back to many messages saying I was on the tv belting out the national anthem!!! ....A great night and fantastic to see Carl prove all those doubters wrong......again!

  • Another great video, mate. As a Nottingham lad myself I was delighted with Froch's performance, but also pleasantly surprised - I didn't think that at 33 he could suddenly fend off those natural instincts for an out and out war, which has been a problem for him in the past. He showed he can box. It's shocking that Froch gets such little press and coverage over here - his achievements and victims should have him at least level with Haye in the p4p British standings, and yet he's largely unknown.

  • @iljn1988 Thank you! It's a travesty to Froch. How could they not give him props? Can't believe he isn't being celebrated over there!

  • @bigragu, I know, strange but true. So many other boxing fans over here dislike Froch, firstly because he was always trying to publically goad Calzaghe in to a fight, and also because he's a crude kind of fighter, the Abraham performance aside. So many want to dismiss the win over Taylor as "lucky", and say that Pascal "would murder him in a rematch" without focusing on the positives. Most who follow the sport are recognizing him now, but outside of that he's obscure compared to Haye and Khan.

  • @iljn1988 Froch said in the post fight interview that he hopes someday he hopes his fights will be shown in the UK.

He has fought far superior competition in the super middleweights than Haye has in the Heavyweights.

  • what is that, tarzan

  • @mu5lim LOL! It's the "Immigrant Song" by Led Zepplin

  • @bigragu I knew that

  • This was a Great advert for boxing and Froch surprised Everyone with this performance ... he was like a totally different boxer ... and Abraham was made to look like a rookie. I guess he did not like losing the Title .. plus Abraham did say he would put Froch into Retirement !!! . a silly thing to say to such a Mean Fighter.

Abraham is a Wonderful boxer but he was outclassed on the night and I believe he will have to up his game to fight at this level, Yes` he is a class act in his own weight

  • @CARLOS62B absolutely! AA at 160 would still be dominating.

  • somebodys been smoking weed lol

  • oi. don't dog on the prince

  • @adnanjalil Just bringing in some examples.

  • Abraham seems like a good dude, hope he can drop back down and be a champ again.

  • @djoakley2099 Yeah, a couple of years ago the MW division was flat so he stepped up. But now it seems pretty loaded with Martinez, Sturm, Pavlik and Sylvester

  • ward or froch?

  • @fishraw Have to do that after the Glen Johnson fight.

  • @adams221191 that would be a great fight, again!

  • Lucian Bute is going to kill them all !

  • @mecristian He has looked very dangerous his last few fights!

  • Froch did a great job!! Dirrell exposed Abraham...Glenn Johnson will be our next champ!!

  • @brotherhood302 You think Johnson is going to pull it off huh? That would probably pay off handsomely!

  • @bigragu I think Johnson is ruff and rugged enough to give him MAYBE the fight of his life. I could be wrong...you just never really know in boxing these days!! Lucian Bute is bothering me...we need to see him in there with a pure boxer though!!

  • @brotherhood302 I would like to see Bute in there with a true boxer as well. Johnson will give anybody fits.

  • great video ragu accurate analysis i personally think carl is to big for pavlik and dirrell held froch way to much in their fight imo. Not sure who froch should fight i guess bute would be mildly interesting i would really like to see froch go upto light heavyweight and fight pascal again for his title - I was there at nottingham to see the fight and it was such an amazing fight much respect to pascal he is a warrior and showed a lot of heart. FROCH 4TW

  • @MrSlaughteredu Thank you for your time! Bute is a must after the Ward fight.

  • oh and i heard that on that morons ELLIE SECKBACH a.k.a Ellie suckback i swear he's on his knees right now infront of manny ready to give that mammaluuuuukes lol man i cant stand that guy

  • Yo BigRagu when do you think berto is gonna cuff his nuts and fight a real contender instead of fighting nothing but pretenders, man im sick of hearing about bob arum suggesting manny poochie fighting berto? wtf berto aint even earned the goddamn right,if anything i think sergio martinez would bend pac over and make him his bitch but thats just my opinion

  • what did you say about micky ward?

  • @jj1xxxx He's promoting a new movie "The Fighter" it's supposed to be based off his life experiences. Mark Walberg plays Micky.

  • Froch can be a big time slow starter. I didn't feel like he woke up for 6 rounds against Kessler.

Also, Froch has been made out to be a pure brawler by the media. He has ALWAYS had the ability to use good technique. He was known for that. With fighters who don't have the best hand speed he can use great head movement. I saw it against Kessler in the second half of the fight and the whole time against Abraham.

  • In summary Froch did not want to trade to much with AA othersie he would be knocked out and he stuck to him game plan and did well and showed another side of his boxing skills which is awsome, but he prob will beat Glen but he wont beat Ward

  • Pacquiao is ducking Floyd you just- whoops wrong blog!

Man, I was rooting for Abraham in this fight, I didn't see Froch using his range in this fight, I thought Abraham was going to throw an overhand on Froch's jaw and that was going to be the end of the fight. He couldn't do anything to take away that jab! He couldn't stay outside of range nor could he circle away from it.

Aww nuts, Sergio Martinez vs Abraham sounds interesting

  • @AdamGomez87 Have you watched many of Frochs fights? He gets whacked with proper bombs and just keeps on going, hes yet to be knocked out, i dont think anybody will ever knock him out,hes got the best chin ive ever witnessed by a long chalk.

Froch took a few bombs from Abraham but didnt phase him much. Froch also has the ability to recover real quick.

  • @AdamGomez87 Martinez/Abraham has a nice ring to it!

  • @bigragu martinez is in talks with matthew macklin provided he wins n dec 11th, according to sky sports, being english that is a fight i would like to see. macklin also in talks with sylvester

  • hey i heard that hopkins fights tonight in canada if he wins it would be a record at 45?

  • @bigragu paul williams should watch the carl froch fight and learn from him, looool

  • @dels323 very true!

  • Impressed with Froch in his last two fights. Lets hope he keeps it up as there are some big fights out there for him.

  • Great vid, been waiting for this one. Really pleased Froch surprised a few people (myself included). He's criminally under-exposed here in the UK. Volume on this video seemed a little bit low when played on my 'phone though. Gotta admit-I felt a tad sorry for Abraham afterwards, 'cause I can't recall seeing a guy looking quite so dejected! Keep the vids coming!

  • @MrYib Glad to see I didn't disappoint!

  • But after the Ward fight AA should return to MW, he is just too short in the SMW division and he does not have the skills to get past a good jab. Furthermore, at the moment there are a lot of great fighters in the MW division. When AA left the MW division was boring, there was only Pavlik left as an opponent for AA, but the fight did not get made somehow. Now there are Pavlik, Martinez, Pirog, Williams or Sturm... Would be exciting...

  • Yep, I agree, Froch changed his style and he positively suprised many. This was a perfect fight for Froch, almost no mistakes, congratulations... But I still hope that AA fights Ward, I think he will lose again, but please keep this Super Six tournament alive, it would be complete joke, if only 2 of the original fighters remain. The tournament idea is cool, it is like every fight is a world champion title fight.

  • lol stop dropping pavlik in, you from Ohio or something :P?

  • @Tips4n00bs I've lived in Ohio for nearly 30 years now! LOL!

  • bigragu man, your singing at the beginning is like a lil boy is getting banged from behind, with a huge peace of wood!!

So fucking stop it you ass ;) xD

  • @Shyptare Ouch!

  • I like how you appreciate that carl was just better than abraham, as opposed to abraham being poor. Nice to see froch getting fair props. Have seen some really bias overseas vids with regards to the froch win. Kudos to remaining fair and balanced. And keep the songs going bro!

  • @ukwingchunstudent I have no problem giving credit where credit is due. Froch put on a great show.

  • Great win for Froch, i'm well proud of my fellow country man. He went back to boxing school after the Kessler defeat and tweeked his game, then proceeded by outclassing a dangerous fighter and became a 2 time champion. Can anyone tell me why Andre Dirrell is rated in the Top 10 P4P on Boxrec. That's got to be a bad joke lol

  • @LLAdam2k8 Boxrec has me worried!

  • U ever see the Callzaghe VS Reid fight btw? great fight they go at it like a pair of stray cats fighting. Callzaghe used to throw double or treble the ammount of punches than his opponent, not in that fight Reid equally matched him with many having Reid as the winner.

Was kinda like the Froch VS Kessler thing.

Callzaghe was good but when u compare his achievments and fights to Frochs,Frochs card is lookin more impressive than Callzaghes,Froch takes on the best no matter what.

  • @athleticguyUK I think I did but now I will have to go back and rewatch!

  • So pleased for Froch now getting the recognition he deserves in his own country.

u got boxers like Audely Harrison who is a household name in Britain but yet Froch is pretty much unheard of outside of Nottingham only boxing fans are aware of who he is.

Ever since he beat Robin Reid he deserved recognition,Joe Callzaghe (one of our most well known boxers) struggled to beat Robin Reid and got matched by Reid, many say Callzaghe lost that fight.Froch fought Reid & Reid had to quit by round 7.

  • @athleticguyUK Froch deserves some serious recognition! Surprised he isn't huge there! He wins, good fighter and he will brawl! I thought tose were the qualifications needed for a large fanbase. I guess an extensive "Amateur" background is more rewarding there....

  • @bigragu Yeh a lot of it at the moment is people have been put off boxing thanx to Haye VS Harrison, true boxing fans will still pay to watch but the not so hardcore fans are now not so kean to put their hands in their pockets to watch.

add that to Setanta sports went bankrupt couple yrs ago, the BBC pulled the plug on boxing after their sour deal with Audely Harrison to deliever, that just leaves SKY Sports, they are now doing deals with Froch to show his fights and give him recognition.

  • @bigragu

Froch's amateur background is not lacking. I think he said he was the first ever Brit to win a medal at the world championships.

  • Abraham wont move down, he is struggles with 168. Abraham has found his level, Froch Dirrell Ward are the best 3 super middleweights and he cant beat them, he could beat any of the other guys including Bute who is seriously overated.

  • Great vid ,

I totally agree with you, Abraham should definitely move down a weight ....

And after this super six tournament Froch is talking about moving up to light heavyweight , which could be interesting.

  • @Newevotime1988 That would be! Lt HW could use a few more named fighters.

  • Thanks for this vid mate. A couple of days ago I asked a few vids. This, along with the marquez post, was one of them. There was another one I requested though. I think you know what it is!!!

  • His best performance was against Pascal

  • Sorry didnt know you had no internet. hes always had that jab but he's only used it for 3 minutes in a fight

  • wow bit slow to get to this fight.

  • Froch had a good game plan and executed it to perfection. Use the jab, stick and move, control the distance, and stayed disciplined thoughout the fight.

After a while I was praying for some action just so the crowd noise would at least momentarily drown out Froch's girlfriend's annoying screeching.

  • @scorpio11477 So glad I never heard that in the vids I watched for the fight!

  • Rd 1. Froch throwing punches. Abraham not throwing.

Rd 12. Froch throwing punches. Abraham not throwing.

    ...

Great jab and body work for Froch. Great Clottey impression for Abraham. Most impressive thing for Froch was that he kept a level head all the way and carried out his plan to perfection. I thought Froch would get crazy and get caught late.

Oh ye, forget a Pavlik bout, as he is in rehab. It's not just a rumor now. Hopefully he can recover and win that fight.. more important than boxing.

  • @overlordkrull I have faith in Pavlik! 2011 we should see a couple of good fights from him.

  • good video i agree with all points! its the same over here now boxing dont seem to get any coverage in the newspapers and that is sad from how it used to be, over here in the late 80s early 90s the sport used to get loads of coverage when there was benn , eubank , collins , bruno and of course lewis but now it dont get a look in.

  • @jimwednesday It's crap! Maybe I need to write articles for our local paper, but I'm a little lazy when it comes to that stuff....... :)

  • @bigragu you would be good at that, the only downside i can see is you would not be able to get in your beautifull singing voice at the start of the article lol

  • @jimwednesday LOL! I know!

  • Woooo! C'mon Carl! He's useless! Wooooo!

Man, that girl... like an air siren.

Anyway, AA didn't have too much of a chance, especially because of the bodyshots. He came back strong and landed some hard jabs late, but Froch wouldn't buckle. I scored it one round to AA, all respects to Froch. I don't see AA with too much of a chance against Ward. Ward is simply to crafty, too skilled at tying you up and body punching in the clinch.

I love AA, but that's gonna be a hard test.

  • @BrotherofWill I think Ward's skill set is all wrong for AA.

  • A.A. looked like Clotty with a bigger punch in that fight. Maybe he should have stayed at 160 where he could impose his punching power better vs Smaller guys.

  • @hawkermustang I believe 160 is his calling. 10 title defenses can't be wrong!

  • Ahahaha you really did do the song.

  • @tjd1985 I'm all for my subscribers! :)

  • I'm supprised you didnt mention Froch's girlfriend screaming the same thing through out the whole fight! Nearly smashed my monitor lol

  • @Bod88 the vids I watched only showed the inside of the ring.

  • I've got to say I respect Abraham for taking the Ward fight. He's not a quitter, although I think he goes in as a big underdog. Froch was able to halt Abraham's traditional late charge in the 7th 8th and 9th with some serious power, much of it to the body. I don't think Ward can replicate that. I see Ward being up by several rounds but maybe Abraham coming back strong to make for a grandstand finale. With his power I wouldn't count him out of the super 6. Johnson-Froch should be a cracking fight

  • @shinypenny I just think Ward's style will really keep AA at bay. The Johnson/Froch could be a war unless Froch keeps this up.

  • I won a thousand dollars on this fight, thank god for nationalistic Germans.

  • @rjbonacolta Good for you!

  • @MenTakeBubbleBaths True that! But we could wish right?

  • Ragu i think Froch got caught headhunting against Dirrell, if they had a rematch and Froch went for the body I reckon he would cut the legs from under him and win fairly easily

  • @jmcg1010 Maybe so, that's why I brought up the rematch with Dirrell.

  • @bigragu Yeah, If Dirrel ever gets back in the ring it could be interesting, although he wouldn't sell many UK tickets after stinking out the first fight. I think Froch will only consider it if he does not win the super 6. If he wins there are better fights out there. Froch has also mentioned moving up to LH to give Pascal a rematch if he can hang onto his titles, although I think with Hopkins up next, then a Dawson rematch, Pascal might not be the champ for much longer.

  • @MenTakeBubbleBaths AA's style will be rough for a smaller fighter like Martinez. I believe his power at 160 is freakish and Martinez can be hit flush.

  • i dont think Arthur will go to 160...no money there....

  • @odin422 Martinez and Pavlik will pull. A fight with Sturm in Germany should be good as well. But the future fo AA doesn't look good at all for him in 168 if he loses badly to Ward.

  • @odin422 Sturm is an all german mega fight. Pavlik needs a comeback fight, Martinez needs some paydays (being an old champ). I think 160 is the future for Abraham.

That being said, I think he'll move down only if he loses to Ward. If he clocks Ward with one of those big rights, all bets are off.

  • @shinypenny Very true!

  • good review, frochs trainer is a very good trainer hes also head coach of uk amatuers and is getting them ready for olympics in london in 18 months.froch had to change just hope he sticks to it as ward will school him if he gos back to brawling.

  • @RedJellyable Exactly, if Froch can keep active he has enough power to keep Ward honest and might be able to get Ward out of his gameplan.

  • i was suprised and kinda dissapointed froch didnt just trade with abraham but gotta respect him sticking to a disciplined gameplan

  • @PSR3D That's what made the fight so interesting. Froch kept to the gameplan and executed it perfectly.

  • Froch used to box and use his jab, but as soon as he started fighting for titles he wanted to show he was a warrior and turned into a brawler. Froch won a shut out for me. AA too small for SM.

  • @29harveydinio Agreed, but being in the states they didn't show Froch's earlier fights. AA needs to go back down.

  • Nice Video Ragu. Do you think that Abraham needs a change of style and trainers? Wegner is training him in the old style of German boxing and hasn't caught up to the elite boxing styles of Ward,Dirrell, and Froch. You think he needs to change up a bit and try something different for this class? I mean if he decides to go down to Middleweight , obviously its a good idea to keep his style but at this weight he cant fight the same way.

  • @armenianperson I believe after these 2 losses they have to. AA looked to have the ability just not the training. Give it a year with say an Emmanuel Steward and who knows?....

  • Loving the culture there bigfella - hammer of the gods ? you got it bro :-))

  • @ThePanzerfist44 Awesome! Have to do my research now!
