Cloud is considered to be weak by the creators only when his confidence is low. Tifa sort of mentioned this when comparing how they found their strength in FF7. Also Cloud left all of his Materia in the Church of Sector 5 Slums for some unknown reason. Which explains why he did not have any of the powers he had in FF7.

Sephiroth pwns anyone, and cloud pwned seph. PLus, the only reason Rosso and Azul lost so easily to Weiss was because they had to play the part to kill the restrictor

Sephiroth didn't "pwn" quite a few people, Vincent among them. I'd go as far as saying that the only reason Vincent could lose in a fight against Sephiroth is due to the player's lack of skill with him.

Also, Rosso and Azul legitimately lost against Weiss. Check Azul's dialogue in Before Crisis: He wouldn't purposefully lose against anyone because that's just against his nature. And Rosso is too Ax-Crazy to want to lose against him.

Remember that the world of FF7 was created around Sephiroth being THEE villain! What's also interesting is the fact that Vincent beat Wiess 1 on 1. It took Cloud, Vincent, Red 13, Cid, Barret, Tifa, Cait Saith, and Yuffie to take down Sephiroth. See the logic? Cloud is the only character in the FF7 universe to take down Sephiroth 3 times single handedly. Only a very determined and confident Cloud can stand a chance against Sephiroth. If not, Cloud loses.

The Sephiroth and Cloud in Advent Children did not have the same power they did in Final fantasy 7. They were weaker. In advent Children it was Kadaj w/Jenova cells that tranformed him into a weaker version of the real Sephiroth. Not the original Sephiroth.

It's a logic thing. Consider the fact that, in Crisis Core, Genesis very nearly beat Sephiroth IN TRAINING (If Angeal hadn't interfered, I have the utmost confidence Genesis would have won). Genesis' genes are spliced with the genes of the Tsviets a little while after Crisis Core, hence Weiss has Genesis' power. Along with Weiss' own power (pure mako power, in case that was a subject of debate), Sephiroth has no chance.

I don't what you saw in that fight but it was clear Genesis could not hurt or touch Sephiroth in that exercise. Not even close. Imagine years later when Sephiroth's power becomes even much greater. Zack beat Genesis easier than Angeal. But Zack lost to Sephiroth. Square Enix considers Sephiroth their greatest villain ever. Everything I just stated is FACTS not opinion. Don't let your love for a character blind you to facts.

Sephiroth is the greatest villain of all time in video games. Thats a fact. Weiss and all of Deepground put together can not even hope to match him in terms of skill or power. It took Cloud, Vincent, and the rest of Avalanche to beat Sephiroth. It took just Vincent. to beat Wiess. There is no comparing.

I don't see how he barely beat Sephiroth in ACC. He won didn't he? its not like he lost a limb or was limping at the end he had barely any wounds (besides the huge stab) and he was still standing when he won. I think somewhere it said that Sephiroth was the strongest member of SOLDIER. Deepground was once part of Soldier so if Cloud could beat Sephiroth he could beat about anybody, in the FFVII universe.

Um... Cloud was bleeding to death? Barely? He was squewred a couple of times in mid airg and was barely able to stand until he got that last minute encouragement from Zack. He was bleeding all over the place and he wounds everywhere. He did win, but barely. Cloud he took Sephiroth off guard while Sephiroth was fooling around and trying to torture him. Cloud is stated to be a weak character. Normura said so himself. That's why Cloud barely stand without encouragement.

Cloud got shot, cloud got stabbed BEFORE he got mako, and he was fine. the only person to atcually Bleed to death was Zack, who got shot like a million times so w/e. Then he got shot after the battle and was able to run and jump attack its not like he was limping. and if DG > SOLDIER than that would mean that they could pwn sephiroth which when i mean before AC. when he could become safer sephiroth and use Super Nova.

Yeah, that still doesn't mean that he wasn't dying or severely injured. And Cloud was limping, he was in pain and he ran while dragging his sword. IT was basically a final attack.

And Super Nova? His Limit break? So what about it? Just because he has a limit break doesn't mean he can spam it. Plot>game play. DG SOLDIER is cannoically stronger than regulars. That doesn't mean everyone in DG could beat Sephiroth, it just means they're stronger already. AC Sephiroth>Weiss>Sephiroth.
