Your right and wrong, the technique used in India is much different, but every Barber and Hair Salon Technician learns the technique in school. However the only place I ever found it practiced was in the state of Utah. It's a lot of work and most people that learn it reserve the technique for immediate family.

I do scalp massages (not quite like that, lol) but close. I use olive oil and a mix of coconut oil. It helps promote hair growth, conditions the hair, and helps you sleep better at night. What a great experience you had! :-)

It will vary depending on the area you live but I charge 18.00 for a half an hour treatment. I would say a massage would definately loosen the muscles, why not give it a try.
