When you consider how much of the Bible is flat out WRONG, it is impossible to avoid the conclusion that GOD had very little to do with writing it. It LOOKS exactly like it was written by the smartest shepherds.
If it was NOT out of date though, it would have something to say about the internet, nuclear weapons, international travel and the fact that the Universe is, by the evidence of the universe itself (not some silly old book) is 2,000,000 times older than the book says it is.
Even if it was written BY GOD it was written FOR people that could not have understood the reality of the universe.
This is exemplified by the fact that a large percentage of the world TODAY can't handle it.

Israel did not come to be out of some divine providence. It came from years of work by the Jewish Community couple with (ironically) the events of WWII.

@1954phyllis I am saying that it is unreasonable. It defies reason. That does not mean a belief in GOD is necessarily wrong, just that there is no reasonable reason to do so. The GOD that created this universe went to a lot of trouble to look exactly like a GOD that does not exist.
When you consider how much of the Bible is flat out WRONG, it is impossible to avoid the conclusion that GOD had very little to do with writing it. It LOOKS exactly like it was written by the smartest shepherds.

If it was NOT out of date though, it would have something to say about the internet, nuclear weapons, international travel and the fact that the Universe is, by the evidence of the universe itself (not some silly old book) is 2,000,000 times older than the book says it is.
Even if it was written BY GOD it was written FOR people that could not have understood the reality of the universe.
This is exemplified by the fact that a large percentage of the world TODAY can't handle it.

@1954phyllis Parts of the bible are flat out wrong, though I am referring more to the Old Testament in that regard, but that does not change the fact that a critical part of Christianity's claim to Godlyness is fundamentally flawed.
The New Testament has far LESS that is flat out wrong, but it isn't even consistent with ITSELF, never mind reality. The sections that deal with the stuff Jesus said is the ONLY valuable part of the Bible at all. He said some amazing things.
The rest is absurd.

There are oh so many truths on that site that SHOULD make any sensible person reconsider their blind devotion to that book.
In MY case, while I am Christian, my faith in the Bible as never been strong, and once I hit the story of LOT my faith in it vanished completely....

Israel did not come to be out of some divine providence. It came from years of work by the Jewish Community couple with (ironically) the events of WWII.

Ahhhhh,.... I've never seen any of his videos, but - the water on earth was spinning off into space???? Uhhh, my head hurts... Sounds like the woman who stated that the earth couldn't be as old as geologists/geophysicists state, because there wasn't enough salt deposited to account for all the oceans that supposedly existed and then dried up - and then she made the comment that some salt EVAPORATED... I directed her to look up the vast salt mines of Poland, Italy, Utah, and the Great Lakes.

No points to prove. No fossil contains DNA either, and if it did, this non sense would finally be proven a fairytale. Looking at the gradual changes in bone shape without DNA evidence is childish at best. So yes, we BOTH have our prejudices before it is applied to the objective evidence. Don't get it twisted.

He did not start by saying that life evolves and then look for ways to support that claim. Creationists start by saying a supernatural entity did everything, and then they try to use what evidence they can to attempt to make that assertion seem justifiable.

It is a high science that is extremely guarded by secret societies on it's use and purpose. I've personally seen it and was very frightened at first. Traditional religion has accepted the contradictions between science and the Bible, some more literal folk can not reconcile these differences. The former has to reject part of Bible, and the latter has to reject ALL of science! And that is exactly where most of Islamic folk and George Bush type folk live.
