My GSD takes great offense to any motorized vehicle thats not a car. He barks his head off if I even SIT on my quad in front of him. Isn't big on the Lawnmowers or the dirt bikes either. Plus he'll chase me around the yard. I'd have no problem running his big monkey ass over but he moves with the quickness and can run probly 35mph. These dogs are freakin quick.

carry a paintball gun with you next time you're out. thats how I trained my dog not to chase after me when I left the yard. Stopped the van, got out, and started firing at him. Chased him all the way back to the yard with the paint balls, lol! Never ran after us again.

It may seem like abuse to alot of people, but I look at it this way; Either I scare the living shit out of it by shooting at it with a non lethal weapon, or sit back and watch it get splattered across 50 feet of gravel road.

I have never "abused" any animal before, and never will. I "discipline" them for doing what they should not. And by doing so, I gain their respect by showing to them that I'm the alpha and I'm not to be crossed. Just like getting spanked as a kid. Which is "abuse" today.

I can so relate. At first the noise scared my dog. Ran away and would not hop in. It followed along for eleven miles up the rugged trails and back. C o u l d nt get him to ride. But he musta thought about it over night. Next time; hopped right in. And now if I go NEAR the machine, he hops in, all excited wanting to go riding. Hahaha
