You know, something just struck me: it wouldn't be the same without the Irish accent, but in any other accent, be it like Hicks with his Texan accent or Carlin with his NYC accent, it would be just as hilarious. Each performer knows exactly how to modulate their pitch and delivery, based on how they know their accent works. The content itself is funny as fook. My point is that each accent has a 'hilarious delivery' factor, and all our best ones have known how to make it work.
