Background noise adds to the piece; doesn't matter about the odd missed note, simply pretty music from way back when, still able to tantalise our imaginations. Great stuff Walt.
Nice job! That step makes a perfect footstool, I need to try it. I really should go back and brush up on all those Sor studies, give the Dowland a break for awhile. I'm not in the mood to fight the Bach stuff ever again, I'm old enough now to know I want to play enjoyable pieces for myself. It's no longer a sport.
Are you going to fix the house foundation? A bit of concrete would do it. Is that teh canteen for milk? Do you have cows? Not bad for a farmer. You are good. :)
no way i could express myself right in english to honor your playing. but it's not just the playing. the surroinding and also your looking. this is beyond fitting. :)
NOW...This is down home playing at it's finest..great tune, and very nice technique..Enjoyed this very much..I thought the background noise added to this..especially the birds..and wind...Great Job !!! PB Vidalia Ga
If the bums i've seen dress like this played as elegeantly as you do, they wouldnt be bums. Talent doesnt care what one looks like, where on lives, or how one lives. That said, the whole video is a contrast to the elegant playing. Very well played piece sir. 5 stars
Great personal touch to the piece and I like the whole look you got going on there. Kind of van Gogh-ish or maybe even a little Old Man and the Sea. And I don't mean this in a bad way. Artsie-fartsie; which is good.
I was outdoors working around the house in my old clothes when I decided to tape this piece. Afterwords I thought the birds & noises & somewhat shabby attire added an interesting contrast to the music.
The guitar is a Guild Mark V that I bought new in 1983 or 84. Rosewood sides & back, spruce top, though it looks like Cedar in the video. In recent years I have come to appreciate the guitar's tone. Either I've figured out how to get the most from it or It has improved w/age.
Thank you for your kind words. Originally I had a teacher that taught me the rudiments of reading music & classical guitar technique. In the 1980's I was in 3 Parkening master classes. With him, the focus was tone production involving nail shape, seating posture, tuning. After that he would work with interpretation & technical problems. Beyond that I put in hours & years of practice.
those are the best music moments, only you the instrument and the sound

They didnt add anything but noise to what could have been a fine recording. Next time, just step inside and do it again. Even a video takes practice!
