@MasSergioVEVO Different emulator video settings, different capping processes, and different encoding processes could all affect that. The colors in your video look a bit over-saturated, but my videos aren't perfect, either. The colors in mine are a bit washed out and some areas appear darker than they should because of the compression blurring out small details. (I made these before I really knew what I was doing with video encoding.)

@Desbreko haha dont worry friend im not dissing ur video over it being a little darker than mines i was just curious cuz im pretty sure ur using zsnes and i thaught it looked the same on all pcs but yeah sounds like the compression. As for the colors on my video appearing over-saturated yeah that always happens when you select the HQ Filter... it cuased some slow downs and an instant frame drop from 60-30 while recording w/o recording frames avrg around 60 for me.

@Victorgarreto Using the X-ray Scope, power bombs, and shooting every part of every wall. If you want to get 100% in a Metroid game without using any guides, you generally have to systematically search every area of the game that way.

@KingCroutonL Not a TAS, but not quite raw, either. I used rerecords here and there if I happened to screw something up particularly bad and it would end up wasting too much time in the video, or if I wanted to show a specific way of doing something but didn't get it quite right on my first try. But all the gameplay was done in real time; I didn't use frame advance or anything else to make it easier.

@BigHairyYak You can always go back and pick stuff up later if you missed it unless you save in the second save room in Tourian (the one right before Mother Brain). The game never lets you get stuck and unable to progress.

You're pretty good at the wall and bomb jumps. I haven't quite mastered the wall jump yet, and well I don't even bother with the bomb jump. Not being able to perfect the wall jump has slowed me down a bit, as I can only get a best time of 1:42. You managed a 1:24 and you weren't even speed running.

Those saying the Mockball is impossible. I can do it, on the SNES to boot. I'm not sure if wall and bomb jumping are easier on the PC, cause it's a pain on the SNES.

Although the area you are in right now is Creteria, in the original metroid game the area was Brinstar. For some reason that pathway where you got the third missle expansion has been sealed off, otherwise there would be a door there that would lead to a long shaft

The mockball is a bug in the physics engine and not really intended to be possible, yes, but it's a very consistent bug. If you do it right, it WILL work every time.

@Neutral1 Did you make sure your morph ball transformations are smooth? Normally, when you land in morph ball mode you will bounce, in mockballing you have to do what I call a smooth transition. In the air it you need to press down twice to enter morph ball mode, a smooth transition is when you press down for the 2nd time just as you land. By doing this your morphball won't bounce. Mockballing is basically doing this while running. Your landing must be smooth, practice makes perfect. :)
