sega was good, but it wasnt the best, nintendo was a more clever company, and destroyed sega eventually, you get sega games for the wii now, you would have never thought that back in the day, sega were pretty stupid aswell, wasting money on the disk drive and the 32x,no one bought into these things unless they were rich, the game gears ate batteries, like 8 of them at a go, and pretty much every game gear broke,i dont like this woman either,

I own a Dreamcast, bought a refurbished model for $50 and I guess the reason why the DC failed was because of software pirates, earlier models had no lockouts and you could play pirated games. Just burn them to a CD and play.

the dreamcast sold terribly due to many reasons

1 of them included the fact that retailers like gamestop and eb games did not want to sell the system due to the not so great sales of the saturn and some of those retailers actually refused to sell the system at launch

also similar to the ps3, the dreamcast was money more to make it compared to the retail price sold on shelves

and since the saturn did not do well not many 3rd party developers wanted to make games for the dreamcast either

Think about it, if they make a new console then there games will be better as they control the console, so they can decide what the main franchises would be and therfore put more effort and time into them, so we would get games as good as shenmue, sonic adventure and even the mighty seaman!

The main reason why they discounted sega dreamcast because A) Got their behind kicked in the 5th gen war by Sony B) Got their behind kicked again in the 6th gen war C) PS2 DVD's player and E) You can actually burn Dreamcast games and play them on the dreamcast with out a modchip or anything
