@JakeramsPvP uh if you watch ALL of clannad (including afterstory) it is really touching at parts, not so much the first season, more just afterstory. I swear i hadent cried for 6 years before i watched afterstory, no joke, i can remember the last time, i usually dont cry about anything, no matter how bad it is, but for some a reason, a story on my tv was able to bring me to tears.

I loved this anime! it's just so touching, beautiful and funny at the same time. It is truly a masterpiece ;')

@combatarms000 It's called a Visual Novel, it's like reading a picture book. You get a few decisions throughout the story that changes the outcome of the story. But that's about it. It's not a game exactly, just a fancy way of presenting a book. However, it's usually told in the first-person view. So mostly dialogue or inner thought from the main character. The different choices usually lead to endings where you fall for a different character.
@frickfrock999 no. the game isn't even hentai.. it's a game for people looking for a good storyline. it's just like reading a "choose your own adventure" on PC. but to be more technical, the "goal" I suppose of this particular game is to get light orbs in each route by interacting with different characters in the game & forming relationships (be it friendships or love). if you've watched the anime, the storyline is pretty close to that but in more detail.
@Wolfsblut51015 you must be crazy. as much i like clannad, the anime is definitely flawed compared to the VN. (the way too good to be true ending isn't explained fully in clannad AS & the awkward flow of clannad and first part of AS from route to route are just some of its problems) & VN is so much more detailed than the anime.. IMO you just don't like the style of VN (ie reading stuff off the screen) so the enjoyment level might be poor for you. but all the other categories, VN >>> anime
@MrsKawaiiSan I haven't played it. but i know for a fact that clannad is not hentai at all. Given the success of Air and Kanon, they made Clannad non-hentai in it's visual novel and anime versions. There is a hentai spinoff game about tomoyo i believe, but that's it.
I got mine at NyaaTorrents. There is one torrent that has the English patch already installed and everything. I believe its just called Clannad- Full Voice. Hope I helped! ^^
@melancholic6619 I'm using the definitions in the loose, american meanings. Hentai means that there is sex involved. Nudity, sex, etc. Ecchi means "perverted" iirc. In general it refers to an anime that makes a big deal out of showing you nudity and awkward sexual moments (boob grabs, naked boobs, panty shots, etc). Ecchi with sex would make it hentai. But I guess you could make the case that hentai is ecchi (perverted). I dislike both, but the latter is more tolerable for me.

Clannad wasn't an adult visual novel. ti was an all ages visual novel that was acually a lot better than the anime. a lot of adult visual novels (hentai games) actually have the most amazing stories (Like Yume miru Kusuri, Kana Little sister, Tsukihime, Cross Channel). better than any anime, manga or book I've read. it's a shame people don't even give them a chance and just write them off as mindless porn
@busterj990 Mindless porn or not, for some people it is weird. It's like reading harry potter and in the end having a scene describing two of the characters having sex. It's off-putting for some, or most. And as amazing as vn's might be, they take a lot of focusing on a monitor, which gets extremely annoying. I'd rather read a book. That said however, I'm sure there are a lot of worthy vn's. I still can't get myself to even finish tsukihime.

I dunno why everyone thinks the school life arc is sad... it's emotional, sure... but sad? Albeit, I haven't finished Fuko's, Koumura's, or Nagisa's routes... but Kyou/Tomoyo's routes aren't sad. Kotomi's was so overpowering that it was almost sad... same with Kappei's... but they were still happy. Misae's was sad, I guess. I've cried from CLANNAD, but it's not sad... (After Story aside.)

Wtf your grammar is screwed up, but if think the game is based of the anime, you've got it totally wrong! The anime is based of the game. The game was announced in 2002 and released for PC during 2004, the anime was aired first in 2007.
I meant "the anime its BASED OFF". There itself means that the anime is BASED OFF the game. Clannad is a visual novel, not a hentai game.
Anyway Key games have more content than their anime counterparts , so if you like Clannad, Air or Kanon you should play the game if you can.
Don't know if they're avaible in english yet though, a clannad english patch is in progress.

the movie had to change many things and leave out 90% in order to fit into 1 hour and a half. CLANNAD is a looooooooong game.

You can try doing a search on search engines like Google... Play-Asia only has the TV series last time I checked. So other than a search on Google, your best bet would be Amazon or E-bay (or piracy).

it's rally world, because they put the opening in the middle of talking to Nagisa in the park. I was talking to Nagisa about the Illusionary World, and all the sudden the game op pops up...

There is no way to patch the 360 ver into english. But if you wait, there is a soon-to-be completed english patch for the PC version.

episode 5? omg dude theirs the main story, after story and the movie also theirs apparently three endings 2 of which are extremely sad and the anime isnt finished yet...just be prepared to cry

I dunno why everyone thinks the school life arc is sad... it's emotional, sure... but sad? Albeit, I haven't finished Fuko's, Koumura's, or Nagisa's routes... but Kyou/Tomoyo's routes aren't sad. Kotomi's was so overpowering that it was almost sad... same with Kappei's... but they were still happy. Misae's was sad, I guess. I've cried from CLANNAD, but it's not sad... (After Story aside.)

Wtf your grammar is screwed up, but if think the game is based of the anime, you've got it totally wrong! The anime is based of the game. The game was announced in 2002 and released for PC during 2004, the anime was aired first in 2007.

I meant "the anime its BASED OFF". There itself means that the anime is BASED OFF the game. I admit that I typo-ed the end, but what that sentence meant, in a longer path of explanation, would be "If the anime that is based off the game that is displayed in the above which is hosted on Youtube which is on the Internet which was invented by humans is as awesome itis, the GAME ITSELF must be fantastic". Does that clear things up? Sorry if my English is "screwy" to you.

In virtually all visual novels, the opening is shown after the introduction. Therefore you will see it after you get past the first 20 or so minutes.
