Seeing the clip of Momentus jumping the rail in the 86' Hawthorne Juvenile is amazing. Such a violent impact and the horse didn't have a scratch on him. Alysheba is one of the greatest horses of all time!

a lot of grace in that piece with whitaker shoe and gallant man... what a poignant, touching thing to feel shoe apologize to that regal animal... thank you posting this, as my appreciation for horse racing grows, these clips are a huge part of my 'education'

@LyndaP31 Sorry to hear that, Lynda. Keep trying; it can sometimes be a combination of things that messes streaming video up. For example, Internet Explorer doesn't stream complete YouTube videos for me anymore for some odd reason; IE is not very good now. I now use the Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers instead. Try updating your Adobe flash player or Java if all else fails; that could very well be my problem as well.

Thank you for posting such an excellent video. At the time of most of these events, I was busy with raising a family and had put all my love of horses on hold, so I missed out on most of these great races. Thank you for posting them so I can watch them now.
