  • gazzaka, that's correct. Magnetic energy of a permanent magnet is W=max(B·H). Of coarse, you can convert it back into mechanical and electrical energy. However, there is a little but important practical problem: Every battery has a much higher power-density and better charge-cycle efficiency than magnetization/demagnetization-­cycle of a permanent magnet. E.g. Perendev struggled over this fact - he could know within minutes, then he put his nose into a physics textbook.
