  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS

  • THE BEST VIA SATELITE TV SPECIAL IN HISTORY !!!

  • @vELVISv, is this really the complete Aloha from Hawaii concert, which was aired in 73? I think there are many outtakes that you have omitted

  • @RobinHoodYorkshire This is the TV version without outtakes and rehearsal concert! Have a great day!

  • un vrai king elvis le meilleur.

  • ELVIS was indeed a phenomenon.

  • From what I read, NBC aired the concert. In todays world of media, it would be hard to do a show like this. If they did, who could do it. Madonna. Janet Jackson. U2. Beyonce. Dont Know?

  • @jhpvids Today would be much easier to broadcast a concert via satellite because the technique has improved, but we don't have a big name like Elvis anymore. In the 70s the world population was around 4 - 4.5 billion people. That means 1 in 3 people have watched this show. The audience could have been even better if there were fewer countries with communist regime. Have a great day!

  • I love this Elvis always will I saw him in 1977 when I was 12 with my Aunt who passed away 2 years ago.I had no ideal how lucky I was I'm 47 now Bet no one my age saw him live.

  • fyi the morse code at the beginning is "ELVIS PRESLEY ALOHA FROM HAWAII VIA SATELLITE"

  • ghostrepublic, it's very hard to disagree with your comment. I think you got it completly right. I agree that NO ONE has topped this performance or has even come close. Michael Jackson was a great live performer but he wasn't ELVIS.

  • Be careful saying Elvis used drugs.. he said if he ever heard anyone say he was "strung-out" like he over heard some hotel employees whispering one time he would "cut their goddamn tongue out by the roots"..... it's on here look it up.. pretty intense..

  • @LtDan42 Yeah, but he's dead so he can't pull out anyone's tongues.

  • when they are not on stage they need something else to give them that high. I mean I'm saying that they don't enjoy life, but nothing beats the feeling of being on stage at times. That's just my guess.

  • Actually alot of musicians and performers are more comfortable on stage than any place else. I myself am a musician and feel more comfortable performing in front of 50 people then ten. I can be shy one on one. On stage I'm the life of the party. I don't do drugs but my guess is that performers take drugs because the stage is the only place they feel comfortable. They perform alot more than at other times of life. They get such a high from performance and perform so much that

  • wonderufl , magnifique , beautiful performance !!!

  • Lucky enough to see him twice. Will never forget either! No one even comes close. He's dynamic - so talented, personable, funny, good looking (goes without saying).

  • superb quality excellent performance Elvis was on top form at this time ,

no one today even comes close , and to think this was live, no computers no special effects to make it sound better.you cant improve on perfection , Elvis is, was, and always will be the king . A friend of mine once asked." why do you like Elvis i dont know what all the fuss is about " my reply was . " If you're an Elvis fan no explanation is necessary ". If you're not an Elvis fan no explanation is possible"

  • elvis is still alive.he is 76 years old right now! from pleiadian informasion

  • No cooler sound OR look in the history of music than the early 1970's Elvis Presley with that opening theme, guitar, mikestand, jumpsuit, etc. The whole package was sheer perfection to the n'th degree. Even the porkchop sideburns were cool.

  • If there was a greater entertainer in the history of showbiz, I wanna know.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this for all of us to enjoy! The video quality is absolutely beautful! Bless your heart!

  • A musica do Elvis é fantastica!!!!!!!!!!

  • no one to measure up to the Great Man. The best of the best and probably will always be .. I grew up with him. In the Communist Russia (damn it ). he was forbidden, so we went to the black market to buy LPs and singles. I'm nearing my 60 and still doing the same thing as a teenager in a communist country...listening to his great hits

  • ΑΓΑΠΑΜΕ ΤΟΝ ΕΛΒΙΣ!

  • White corduroy-like--gorgeous--got him in that outfit on a bubble-gum card. :)

  • Its been over 38 years now since this concert has been broadcast and I have as of yet to see ANYBODY top this performance or even come anywhere close. Elvis has done it to perfection, plain and simple. Nobody will ever top this.

  • I was there. Interesting facts: The show did not start until 1 AM due to global time zones for airing. There was a dress rehearsal the day before. This concert was given for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund and tickets were a donation for as much as you wanted to give. I paid $15 (about $72 today). Colonel Tom Parker auctioned off various Elvis apparel before the show, Audience was limited to about 5,500 due to staging. Worst part - lights were left on us the entire time. We did not get the full effect

  • My first love..ELVIS!!!

  • Amazing concert and in some cases the best version of the songs performed.. I remember learning to play the drum parts that Ronnie Tutt played on these songs when I was 14.. great licks, great music, and one of the best Elvis performances ever!!

  • Elvis seems totally out of it in this video...

  • @Nilyentaraka Yeah I always thought that Elvis looked pretty glazed over in the Hawaii concert too

  • I liked his black leather suit from 5 years earlier better.

  • great quality! I love windows 7 everything is so much clearer

  • What always got me about guys like this, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, is the massive massive amount of balls they must have had to come up with to do these shows. No wonder they did drugs. I mean look at this show for example - A billion people watching Elvis by sattelite. How the hell you deal with that? And Elvis was a shy guy. What kind of shit goes through your brain when you are put that much in the spotlight? Every little movement, every litte nuance you know it going to be examined

  • @JamesTKirkCobain i know exactly what you mean. the more people that watch you, the ever more difficult and challenging it will be. remember in this show, probably the most watched show in this planets history, over 5 billion people or so are watching and expecting you to satisfy them in every way, and to put things worst, elvis the man of the hour here, is a very shy guy. no wonder why he is the greatest cultural icon in world history. he never stops loving the audience. rest in peace elvis

  • @JamesTKirkCobain thats what makes them masters and gods of performing, the large crowds they deal with

  • @JamesTKirkCobain you forgot bruce springsteen, madonna although not a guy but its the same with every other artist it's success that drives them! I don'y think anyone of them plans to go out there and muck up now and they are confident in what they do! So there you have it!

    cheers m8

  • How many broads you think he banged in his lifetime? Probably billions. He was like Fonzie, just snap his fingers and they come running.

  • @JamesTKirkCobain aaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! :D
