i have been listening to great singers/muscians for many years and even back to mozart and chopin and think feist is there for her genre up with them.. for rock music Dave Mattews is my favorite,, because, like feist,,they are both fun, but also serious and deep in there lyrics and there sound in performing them..thanks feist for being original and so enjoyable to listen to for long periods of time

my fiance left me. these lyrics are so true. the hardest part is remembering all the things we first did. where i first saw her, where we went on a date, our first kiss, our first dance. she was barefoot and i was still in my tux and we hated being at the dance so i went to a quiet parkinglot and put in a quiet song in the car and we danced alone together. it was silly, but i loved it, i loved her smile, her laugh, the way she made me feel when she looked at me. i wish i could forget.

this was recommended to me as one of those "break-up songs" that a girl listens to when her entire world is torn apart. yeah, that'd be me. although i like the song and feist has a great voice, this is not a sad song. where is the pain? where is the desperation? where is her anger and tears? this is not a break-up song. this is a song of acceptance (which is great) but it feels like a mockery of a break-up, like she's singing about something she's never experienced before. i don't buy it.
