that was mostly in tbc gear while leveling. at 80 most classes have 20-25k hp and tons of resi so those crits wont happen that often and wont have that big impact.

Try being a warrior, it's so amazingly boring. It's hard to tank compared to Druids and Paladins. Apart from tanking, we dps, and one raid of 10/25 people only need one dps warrior IF any.

On top of that you cannot compare warrior dps to any other class as its so lame... Yes I do play a warrior by the way, but I also have a 70 warlock and druid.

its out of fear, nub paladins can be coerced into healers and thats what people want. Good paladins know that retribution is viable and extremely deadly, but alot of people want us to be healers because they fear that we will become far to powerful for them to handle. And we are, we just cant get the gear as much as we want, some of the lucky few who get gear like this are capable of having the gear to be a unstoppable recking force. But out of fear people coerce pallies into healers.

As much as I love my Paladin (protection) they can't allow Ret to pwn this much. I think as Retribution you SHOULD do decent damage, but the talents are all wrong. The Judgement Crit Bonus stacks too well with the 30% of AP as Spell Power. They should have better baseline DPS.. but the bursts of 8k Judgements followed by a 2k White hit, followed by a 3k hammer of Wrath is stupid...

Before they do anything, though, they need to judge Ret damage with green gear from level 25 to 75.
