If you're implying that he made it up, you're wrong. There were frantic phone calls from his gf to me at 2am asking I knew where he went. His mother called her saying he walked out of the house wearing only shorts and took nothing but his car keys and disappeared in the middle of the night. The next day morning he turned up in a hospital.
A cop saw him trying to use a payphone totally nude and took him to the hospital. Tests revealed his blood pressure had gotten to near deadly levels which triggered a psychotic episode. His blood pressure has returned to normal in the year since and no more episodes. It wasn't a hoax. His brain started to blur the line between reality and imagination.
Not religion bashing or anything, since people are free to believe what they wish, but Im surprised that someone as astute as yourself doesn't see religion for the age old method of people control that it appears to be.

the idea that the universe was created for man is anthropocentric. Is there any evidence for it beyond belief? I won't discredit it however as the idea of it as puzzled to be unraveled appeals to me but I don't see any logic basis to support this view.
Mike, You should read the Carlos Castaneda books, but whatever you do don't read the first book (the teachings of Don Juan) until you've read all the others. Most people just read the first book then blow it off. Later in the series it is revealed that events in the first book were virtually irrelevant.
It's all good to check out those kind of books, but remember to keep it in perspective. The Bible talks about "the deep things of satan" and also it makes a statement that "the hidden things are God's". Knowledge, good and evil were on one tree while life (i.e., God Himself) was on a completely different tree. Too many times we seek wisdom thinking that we are getting life and end up in spiritual death.
I've been reading Tolle for years... I read The New Earth book no less than 7 times this past year. I get it now. I don't remember to stay in the now moment, but if I realize I'm getting stressed out, I can expand into the now and it pushes everything else away.

Mike, glad to hear you are not leaving us yet. I consider myself a Christian too and see nothing wrong with studying the nature of consiousness. My focus of study has been the spirit body, which I believe all living things have. If we deny there is a soul(spirit body) then we deny our very existence. Many of course think that when the physical body dies, that's it. I don't believe there is anything at all reading those books...knowledge is power.

Mike, You should read the Carlos Castaneda books, but whatever you do don't read the first book (the teachings of Don Juan) until you've read all the others. Most people just read the first book then blow it off. Later in the series it is revealed that events in the first book were virtually irrelevant.

It's all good to check out those kind of books, but remember to keep it in perspective. The Bible talks about "the deep things of satan" and also it makes a statement that "the hidden things are God's". Knowledge, good and evil were on one tree while life (i.e., God Himself) was on a completely different tree. Too many times we seek wisdom thinking that we are getting life and end up in spiritual death.

I've been reading Tolle for years... I read The New Earth book no less than 7 times this past year. I get it now. I don't remember to stay in the now moment, but if I realize I'm getting stressed out, I can expand into the now and it pushes everything else away.
I have Tolle's entire series regarding the New Earth on my channel in playlists, very nicely organized.
If you want to read a little supporting science read The Holographic Universe by Talbot and anything by Bohm (many worlds)

It was very interesting to hear about the spiritual side of Mike ! Yes, we Christians have many sides besides the stereotypical views others have of us. I have always known I am mostly guided by Uriel, the angel that means Fire of God, and is a warrior angel. I believe we all have roles to play, and the online games you mention are training avenues. Beautiful, Mike. This is a more important aspect to what's going on than people think. Enlightenment is REAL. It is a temporary all-at-once dissolving of the ego-state. It causes "Unity-Consciousness" which heals the body and mind that has been suffering from a perceived "separateness". It is not a thought or a philosophy. it is a MEMORY that is triggered inside of you. That's what good spiritual teachers try to do: TRIGGER that memory of who you truly are. You are a perfect child of God.
