  • My processor is running on 5GHz now and goes up to 1.56 Vcore sometimes, is this bad?

  • @darrow55 if you have a good water cooler, there's no problem

  • FUCK! Bluescreen when starting Prime :/

  • hey man, i got my 2600k up to 4.7ghz at 1.37 volts. BUT. when i monitor, the voltage always stays at 1.37 even at idle. is there any settings i need to change? the voltage used to drop down to 0.9 when idle, and yes, i have speedstep enabled.

  • @SPAZZY1912 speedstep aint for voltage . try c1e c6 c3 to be enabled, try power saving mode try anything alone yoll find it

  • i cant press turbo ratio any1 knows whats up?

  • hey dude i can't find the digi VRM setting can u help me with this???....

  • I don't understand why it says: 'Target CPU Turbo-Mode Speed: 4500Mhz' I never overclocked or touched anything, why is it doing this?

  • great, now i need to look for therealJayRoe comment

  • hey, can i overclock it to 4ghz-4.2ghz with a gigabyte superb e720w psu and NO aftermarket cooler without having to worry about short circuiting and overheating?

  • @rolandFTW000 yes, 4 GHz are possible, you need for this clock only 1.2V

  • @Hardwareoverclock so no cooler needed? and wat bout 4.2ghz?

  • is that 5.1GHz?

    #ImRetarded

  • wich cooler you use?

  • @basgetz Corsair H70 with 2 Noiseblocker PL2 1400

  • @Hardwareoverclock

possible you know the limit for scythe mugen 2 verb?

  • @basgetz no sorry. I think 4,5 GHz with 1.2 Volts are possible

  • @Hardwareoverclock Hey, everytime i try to overclock 4.4 Ghz with 1.350V it gives me the BSOD So please help Me out! Im using the silentprom 850W and i5 2500k with the Spinq TV Thermaltake

  • @Hardwareoverclock : Hi, great vids! Thanks for showing them. I have the P8Z68 Pro Mainboard, can I take this settings for my mainboard for overclocking it to 5.1 GHZ, like in your video? Thanks. Best regards / un saludo.

  • @speedytommy007 the PRO has the same Bios Settings like the Deluxe. But take care, not all processors have the same quality. Try first 4,5 GHz at 1.3V and then go slowly higher and higher. Don't forget the temperature!

  • How do I increase my PCIE voltages to give my graphic cards more power for over clocking.

  • @cigarjohn42 the pcie voltage increase brings no improvement. Overclock the card himself with the tools like Afterburner or Evga tuner

  • @Hardwareoverclock Thank you for the reply and information. I'm using EVGA Precision now. I never tried Afterburner. I'll have to give it a trial run. Thanks again and happy holidays.

  • I made my 2600k stay at maximum 4.5, otherwise the entire pc gone BSOD. So how do you do it.

My board is an ASUS P8Z68-V. Z68 kinda sucky, or maybe not.

  • i heard vanilla p8p67 isnt bad for oc either

  • and by prime... i meant PI.. lol

  • @ImmortalUniverse was that not speedstep bringing it down to 16X ? because when he started the prime test it jumped to 5099MHz

  • @xsilentxxnightx yeah ,your right i saw it later in a review about speedstep.

these new processors make me confused:)

but your right. , forget what i said .

  • @ejp93 Exactly what I was trying to say. ;)

  • (This settings were 100% benchmark and 3DMark stable)

I would like to see you running IntelBurnTest = 5 runs / Stress Level = Maximum then ill believe its a stable oc!

  • @nicerides12 I heard the Z68 chip is better, and is like an H67 and P67 combined.

  • @KenwoodGT The Z68 chipset has both the features of the H67 and P67. The P67 can't access the cpu's integrated graphics features which is irrelevant because you will have a discrete graphics card.

  • Mmm, delicious degradation. Keep running it at 1.4+V and enjoy it only lasting for around three years.

  • This works on asus p8p67 pro? instead of deluxe?

  • @MrPekosTech Deluxe

  • Is the P8P67LE a good board for gaming, overclocking etc?

  • @rooo1o nope, only the Pro or Deluxe. LE is the light edition, like a light beer ;-).

  • @Hardwareoverclock What about the standard version?

  • Comment removed

  • @Hardwareoverclock i've the P8P67 EVO and it's the same stuff on the advanced menu (got my i5 2500k on 4.5Ghz in daily) so, not only for the PRO and Deluxe versions ;)

  • I thought overclocking means humping my clock...

  • can u post u CPU Z validation?

    thanks mate, awesome OC btw.

  • do you get 2 time or 3 time booting when you enable the internal PLL voltage?

  • FRIEND I HAVE THE SAME PROCESSOR BOARD AND THE SAME, THIS IS REALLY SAFE? NEED ANOTHER FORM OF CHILLED PROCESSOR?

  • I have the same setup with a h50 liquid cooler and it goes up to 90 degrees and over on prime 95 torture test running at 5ghz. i like to keep it at 4.5 but how much core voltage do u use at 4.5 ghz? i use 1.32v

  • @brunthroath6912 yes, i use 1.35V. For the daily working and game sessions i use 4 GHz and 1.2V

  • @Hardwareoverclock Sweet! I remember running my e8500 on 4ghz @ 3.38v. LOL this processor spits on 4ghz, its just too easy to achieve;)

  • @brunthroath6912 I run 4.6 at 1.3v

  • @pilotenhandboek Really wow, its bound to crash someday right?

  • @brunthroath6912 Nope, Prime95 stable for 15+ hrs, Haven't had a single problem with it yet.

  • @brunthroath6912 somehow i think you are actually having the 100% identical setup like me..my h50 full load @normal speed is 55' which i think is high just fyi thx..

  • @nicerides12 I have a 2600k and a p67 deluxe.. i think alot of ppl have that rig... cuz it pertforms!!

  • @brunthroath6912 so the p67 is worth every penny i spend right?..hehe :D

  • @nicerides12 Well yea but the ocing is just a shame... It doesn't like to overclock ram and doesn't like it when u change base clock. To me p67 its all about high freq on low volt settings and low thermals.

  • Just bought this CPU last night with an Asus Sabertooth P67 Rev 3 board. I'm coming from an AMD Phenom II x4 965BE. What a processor. I haven't touched it in terms of overclocking, but man is this thing snappy and quick. I'm using a CoolerMaster V6GT cooler and it sits at an idle temp of around 28c. I can't believe how great this thing is. I've been an AMD user for over 10 years. I'm glad the sales guy talked me into this. Almost got the 1100T. Oh and it was on sale for $285 at Micro Center.

  • You can overclock past 5.2GHz with a simple $20 Hyper TX 3. So there's no reason to spend hundreds of dollars on watercooling.

Try google "Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs Chill Aftermarket Cooling"

  • @therealJayRoe not really

  • @therealJayRoe Buy the Noctua NH-DH14

  • @therealJayRoe LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO GTFO YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT AHAHAHA

  • @therealJayRoe you fail. get your facts right before making a fool of yourself & confusing others.

  • @iSteezHD to overclock the Core i7 2600k is very easy

set multi to 45, all cores, VCore 1.35

EIST, C1E, C3 & C6 Disabled, Turbo enabled, thats all

  • @Hardwareoverclock what temperature will it get after these configs ? (stock cooler but great case ventilation) I have a thermaltake element G

  • @shadow479 you can't use the 5.1 GHz settings with a stock cooler, only stable with water

  • @iSteezHD yep, this board is absolut rock solid

  • @iSteezHD for the dayli use you can overclock up to 4,5 GHz and 1.35V

  • 45-50° in games, with watercooling and 3 x 120 mm fans on tripple radiator @ 7V

  • @Hardwareoverclock what brands have watercooling kit's available for this socket??

  • @shadow479 there are lot of brands, Aquacomputer, EK waterblocks and more

  • so what temps were you getting at 5ghz

  • can you help me to overclock?check PM ! :D

  • Hi

The Silver Arrow is a great cooler, but 5 GHz for the daily using is not necessary. No game oder application needs this performance. Also you need for 5 GHz 1.4 up to 1.45V. Not easy for an air cooler, especially not in summer. For 4,5 GHz you need 1.35V, a little bit lower and sensible

  • @Hardwareoverclock no wonder when i tried to boot my core 2 duo E8400 @ 1.7V it wouldn't boot xD

  • HI.Can you give us your configuration details?

Very soon I will buy this mainboard,I'm not sure which CPU cooler to buy for 2600k?

Can you tell me if I buy Silver Arrow(Thermaltake),could I reach 5 Ghz?

I don't want anymore. The PC will be AIR cooled.Thank you

  • all the P67 boards are very good, some are better, other not so. It is a lot of luck. A friend has the third UD7 from gigabyte and only the last sample is perfect. My Asus P8P67 Deluxe is not so bad, but 5.5 GHz it will not reach.

  • Yes, i tried, and it works. But with water cooling did not care.

  • 1.48V damn this is hot. Have you tried to set vcore manual like 1.35-1.4?

  • jep, thats a cool cpu. At the moment i have 5.2 GHz Benchmark stable and 5.3 Super PI stable, awesome

  • and to think the fastest clocked pentium 4 at 5ghzs needed constant liquid nitrogen to get to 5ghzs,i remember me clocking my 2.4ghzs 533fsb pentium 4 to 3.4ghzs and thinking it was a big deal i had the best cooler made of copper at the time plopped on there i was able to reach 3.5ghzs sitting it in front of a window ac unit on ice cold!little ghetto maybe but it beats water cooling im sure and to think majority of 2600k cpus have the compacity of 4.5ghzs under 60cel load wow:P

  • that is with water cooler. The 1.24V are in idle mode, under prime there are more than 1.47V.

  • wow how did u do that is it on air or watercooler??and on just 1.24v? i am confused now
