  • holy crap i can do it!! thanks for the video

  • Yea it's time efficient. But what you are just making up for the time it took you too learn it.

  • Fuck yeah, I finally made it! How on earth it was that difficult task - it feels so annoyingly simple afterwards. That really shows what does it feel to be a kid again.

  • litterly takes 2 seconds.... unfortunate part is i dont know how to do it still.......

  • huh?

  • this is fuckin impossible.

  • Thanks,this was very helpful.

  • I watched this video 5-6 months ago. Now I can tie it in less than 1 sec!

  • I still can't do this...

  • It took me half an hour to learn this. Common mistakes:

    1. When doing the initial overhand knot (before even starting the Ian), make sure that the right lace goes UNDER the left lace.

    2. As for the left loop, make sure that the loose end is going towards you.

  • wtf! is this witchcraft?

  • Wtf. I spent the last hour trying to do this and then I realized I was overestimating how tricky it is. I was making up steps that didn't exist. Message me if anyone needs help :)

  • 10 min later and I still cant do it.

  • @IIRedEyeII I found the key part to be at 0:11! Watch how his fingers grab the other side of the lace!

  • Yes I finally got it! (btw I made it autoplay by adding it to its own playlist)

  • Where's the auto replay button?

  • thats crazy

  • fucking hard!

  • you are the only one that i under stand from thank you

  • wtf? this is the regular way to tie shoes lol. what is this even talking about o-o

  • It's fast, but not a very solid knot.

  • I literally watched this 20 times in a row

  • As far as I'm concerned, this is black magic,

  • The diagrams on the site had me scratching my head for 30 minutes. After watching the video, I was able to do it almost immediately. Ian should just put this video on that page because the diagrams are useless.

  • my life is so much better now!

  • IS IT ME OR IS IT MY SHOE?!?!??

  • @Darksin98 oh my god! I laughed so hard from your comment!!

  • fantastic! kudos 2 u

  • WOW thank god this is the only way to learn it :D THANKS

  • you didnt tell me I had to first tie it once from the beginning!

Ive been trying this for hours!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin' shoelaces, how do they work?

  • @TheDeejay01 moar liek magnets

  • BEST INTRUSTIONS FOR THE IAN KNOT!!!!

  • FTTDK: This knot is used in a triathlon during the T2 (Transition 2) stage; aka bike to run stage. The cycle shoes are attached to the pedals, so when they rack their bike, they run bare foot into the T2 area; and put on their running shoes as quickly as possible, fir the smoothest transition from cycling to running.

  • SOOOOOOOO COOOL :D

  • Thank you! I don't know why I find this amazing, but I do. I've been doing it the wrong way my entire life.

  • 12 people could never understand this video

  • these really help me tie my timberlands. i watch it every time I untie them.

  • Thanks!

Mastered it in just a couple of minutes withe video.

    Race anyone?

  • sweet i got it

  • my flat laces don't seem to hold the loops/ with the same tension as I can get with traditional. but maybe with laces shown in video may work well

  • Easy to tuck in even on my nike hi-tops, FUCKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW.
