Fuck yeah, I finally made it! How on earth it was that difficult task - it feels so annoyingly simple afterwards. That really shows what does it feel to be a kid again.
Wtf. I spent the last hour trying to do this and then I realized I was overestimating how tricky it is. I was making up steps that didn't exist. Message me if anyone needs help :)
The diagrams on the site had me scratching my head for 30 minutes. After watching the video, I was able to do it almost immediately. Ian should just put this video on that page because the diagrams are useless.
FTTDK: This knot is used in a triathlon during the T2 (Transition 2) stage; aka bike to run stage. The cycle shoes are attached to the pedals, so when they rack their bike, they run bare foot into the T2 area; and put on their running shoes as quickly as possible, fir the smoothest transition from cycling to running.
wow. so much of my life has gone to waste since kindergarten tying my shoes with that old, slow method. now i will finally have the time i need to watch monkeys pee in their own mouth on youtube!
holy crap i can do it!! thanks for the video

I still can't do this...
ayeeitscarol 3 months ago
It took me half an hour to learn this. Common mistakes:
1. When doing the initial overhand knot (before even starting the Ian), make sure that the right lace goes UNDER the left lace.
2. As for the left loop, make sure that the loose end is going towards you.
