I have 4 tattoos. 2 on each calf one each of fire, water, air, and earth. They are all butterflies. I plan on getting at least 3 more butterflies. For me they symbolize the beauty of everything. The beauty you find in the air and water or in a fire (camp fire not burn your house down fire) or on/in the earth. I know it is cheese but as that quote goes "Just when the Caterpillar thought it's life was over it became a beautiful butterfly" that is why they are butterflies. Thanks for the friend add

OMGee! i was like totally fangirling when you showed your 2nd tattoo xD

I always wanted tattoos but i still don't dare to do it. and so my little sister took the first step and had her first 2 tattoos this year. eversince we are moluccans(asian) born in holland(EU) it was hard growing up like that.. and it always felt like we didn't belong anywhere. so at the age of 21 my little sis got 2 tattoos. 1 stands for our fam. the other says INA LATU in our native language. and it gave her an IDENTITY.

I used to have a lot of piercings too: Nipple rings, belly button ring and a guiche. My body eventually rejected all but the left nipple ring, which I still have.

I love my tats. I have Seven:

Dragon (left shoulder), Irish/USA Flag in yin/yang symbol (left thigh), Sacred Heart of Jesus (right shoulder), a fairly large back piece consisting of a heart with large wings (endless know of life in center of heart) with two dogs (Indonesian temple style) guarding the heart, and two bisexual symbols (elsewhere...let's just say that anyone can check my labels, where labels usually are LOL).

I do have a tattoo. i don't think I could ever get one where I would have to expose myself, though, if that makes any sense.

Mine is the Kanji for the word, "Judo" which, means, "The Way of Gentleness." or "The Gentle Way." It's on the outside of my right upper arm.
