  • My son is 5 years old and almost completely non- verbal. He was also diagnosed with moderate autism. This video made me cry bc i know he wants to talk so much. Just as much as we want him to. The hardest part is knowing how much he probably wants to say and cannot. I just want him to be able to tell me how his day is and to be able to grow up and live a normal healthy life.I just want him to grow up to be a happy man with a happy life like every parent wants for their child. The future is scary.

  • My son is 16. He was dx'd with severe apraxia of speech & dyspraxia,SID & PDD. He couldn't tell me what he wanted and would bang his head. I translated for him 'til he was 5 y/o. Lord, how this boy has struggled! Thank goodness for early intervention. So thankful. He surely comes across as "slow" to people for his speech speed. But he tries so very hard. This year is his 2nd on the school football team. Who would have guessed? So thankful for those who do not judge and welcome with acceptance.

  • I have apraxia.

But my grammar is way better than alot of kids.

  • This made me and my wife cry we have a son with dyspraxia this is what they call it in Australia it is the same as Apraxia in the USA people will never understand the hardness of loving your son so much that there brain can not hold information in for everyday things my Heart goes out to all these wonderfull kids and adults

  • gazroc-I too feel your pain...my grandson has apraxia, plus global developmental delay, sensory intergration disorder among other issues--He's 31 months--and my heart, I don't know what the future holds for him..I just know that his Mom and I will do what EVER it takes to give him the best life possible. He is in the process starting sign language, he only "speaks" 5 words--it's so hard to watch him struggle...I thank God for this little angel with the blueberry blue eyes..God bless your family

  • @gazroc aww how old is your son? my daughter is 4 years old and has Aperxia and Dyspraxia. they are 2 diffrent things but the same at the same time. Dyspraxia has somthing to do with their mortor skills and their learning skills, and Aperxia is speech related my daughter also has some Sensory prossion problems she is going threw speech, Physical, and ocaptional therpy 3 times a week, she also has special instruction 3 times a week for an Hr. each time unless she is having a hard time then longer

  • This made me cry a little, the part where it talks about falling in love and getting married. I want that for my son. He's only 3 right now but not only does he have Apraxia but he has PDD-NOS as well....which makes life for him EXTRA hard. I want him to have as normal life as possible :(

  • I have apraxia it's really hard nobody understands me.
