Nice this. Sounds so sweet! Quite impressed by just how much the Clio can offer in a straight line, after it's mauled everything else round the bends. Driven right too :)

Cheers for the comment mate. Clio's are not to be sniffed at as a road car and definitely not as a track car. Loads of potential. Exhaust note gets the adrenalin going when out on the track. Amazing

Yeah i know what you mean, the build quality is not the best. They do feel a bit fragile especially after a day of abuse at the track..

nice driving! just sold my 172 cup n got a face lift ctr which is fast but numb to drive compared to the clio,ma clio always felt like it was going to fall apart so it had to go,i must be getting old! ha

@gaz0044 We just keep this one for the track. Not on the road at all now. Tow it down on a trailer, just in case we have a BIG off and can't get it home.

Nice driving mate! I'm in the market for a hot hatch and its between the 182 and the type r, think i'm going for the clio. About a grand cheaper for similar year/milage and i love that exhaust note!!

Cheers for the comment mate. Clio cup chassis is a really well handling set up. Good tyres make a huge difference. Straight through stainless powerflow exhaust gives a great note. loadsa fun. Happy shopping

Cheers for the comment mate, Clio has full stainless powerflow with de-cat and 4-2-1 stainless manifold. Extended straight air intake pipe down to behind passenger fog light with green cotton filter. Gives it a little more torque...

Sh'es not bad though. Only running toyo T1R's. Want R888's but very expensive...

Me and my mate went down with an Caterham 7, but couldn't start it to get it off the trailer. Typical, eh! So we just hung about on the embankment watching the others go around.

I've probobly got some footage of the Renault Megane that went off on the second corner. I've got about and hours worth of footage from a few different points on the track. Did anyone get any footage of the smash on the first bend when the little Vauxhall lost control and took out an Peugeot?

After watching another video from the same session yesterday, i've realised this is the blue clio with the hand prints on the back window (as we referred to it as. lol).

Was it you racing my mate in the black Megane when he binned it?

If so, do you have it on vid?

Ah i was in another car at the time as there was a few of us there. I was in the green rover BRM with the orange grille. Yeah they were ok. the passenger had a bit of a sore head, but was alright. Shame you haven't got it, i'd love to see how it happened.

The passenger said that the driver never braked until it was far too late like. lol

He went on to drive the car home, and got within 5 miles of home, and the wheel fell off!

It was one of my other mates who blew up the black astra too. lol

Was a good day though.Really enjoyed it. Fat passengers should be banned...

Just goes to show that you do not need an expensive car to hassle the big boys..

What tyres were you lads running? Seem to have more grip than i did.
