  • i pray this dont happen to my father, cause he's a mechanic and works under cars and trucks too.

  • why we always work BETWEEN the ramps, people

  • lol the guy said they got jeff out at 4 mins and then he said the first person arrived at less than 4 mins

  • Yea the guy only jacked the car up 2 inches while bending a hole through the steel undercarriage of that nice trans am.

  • the man in this video who had the car roll on top of him is younger than my mom and dad

  • Kinda obvious you cant lift that car up, prob weighs over 3,500 pounds

  • there's nothing wrong with getting married young i got married when i was 14 i've been married 13 years now to the same man

  • Why didn't he fix the car properly? Don't you have the little things that tightens around the tires in America?

  • i was gonna be on this show cuz i was offerd but i said no cuz i cry when ever i say a part of it.. ;l

  • this show should be put back on tv

  • Wow, that couple was somethin'. Sort of reminded me of The Beverly Hillbillies.

  • why the heck didn't they have the person who owen the truck in the lawn push the car forward?

  • This takes place in July but it's filmed in the winter because all the trees are bare. Rescue 911 has stories of rescues that really happened and sometimes actors portray those in it.

  • "He was having maybe three or four respirations per minute."

I only have three or four per minute (at rest) even without trauma...

  • I told everybody people in the family watch these segments, but did anyone believe me? No-o-o.

I'm a paramedic. Even when a person DOES have blame in a situation, we're not allowed to mention it. But there's no blame to be dispersed in the case of this scene.

Telling people what they COULD have done after an accident has already occurred doesn't help anyone.

If you want to do that so bad, become a First Aid Instructor and tell them BEFORE it happens.

  • Why I send my car to a service center.

  • Always put something under the tires to keep the car still. NOT a person though.

  • isent that the priceline guy?

  • He'd probably be dead if it wasn't for that big guy.

The thing that made me cringe though was jacking up the car on the opposite side that the guy was trapped under. I can totally understand that there's panic etc and everything worked out ok though.

Surely jacking it up on the opposite side would increase the weight on the other three wheels including the one that the casulty was under?

Lots of people have been (and will continue to be)killed in the way that things happened here.

    Lucky guy!

  • we'd been married since i was 15 years old

  • @leafedaduffa a bit young then dnt you think?

  • listen here you dumb ass people you have to think what damage that would have done to my father if they would have pushed the car off him.. And yes i said father because i am Jessica His daughter... So keep your mouths shut and find something elese to run your mouth about........

  • Why are you talking like that Jessica? It was an accident what happened. You were great in this one. There must've been a lot of sockets in the tool box.

  • @jessieh29 he probably would have died if medical help hadnt been around. a car on top of someone would mean internal bleeding and removing the car would have caused him to lose blood very quuickly. Glad to hear he is still around for you. i know a lot of people who are EMT's and Paramedics and firemen. I even had some training done in medical emergencies.

  • @Kleman09 what would have killed him isnt the internal bleeding, but crush syndrome. without advanced life support, he would have had massive organ failure due to potassium and lactic acid buildups. even EMTs cant do anything for that.

  • I'll NEVER my change oil again.

  • Great learning experiences.

  • my friend can bench press 425 without steroids

  • @peckcrai

    And?

  • Jennifer said that her daughter Jessica can't count right she was going "1,2,9,8" back and forth and Jeff was counting with her. Now that she's in school I guess now, she can count right.

  • this is why you use jack stands...never allow the jack to support a vehicle

  • move the red things and push the car? derkader

  • ouch

  • She's a beautiful little girl. The baby's really cute too.

  • i own a truck, its high enough off the ground for me to work under it without jacking it up. this vid makes me realize just how dangerous a jacked up car is.

  • Daaam she left the car on top of him to call 911!!! instead of trying to lift it like herculies she should have pushed it. panicing will only make things worse people!

  • this happened to my uncle so please use jack stands they save lives

  • When I was younger I had a friend whose dad was a mechanic and he was working on a van that was up on a lift and was killed when the lift malfunctioned causing the van to fall on him.

  • I'm guessing the jack slipped?

  • No, the neighbor jacked the car up. The car rolled back on him, he didnt have the tires blocked or anything, or the brakes on.

  • there was no jack the car was on these brick things to make your car stop rolling

  • My daughter loves her dad with the same passion as the little girl in the segment. She still loves him that way even though he's gone. I can't even imagine what seeing her dad in that condition would have done to her.

  • Always put pieces of wood by the tires and set the emergency brake.

  • That's a massive crush injury.

Crush injuries cause a lot of internal bleeding.

The gurgling was coming from hemorrhaging in the chest cavity.

  • i think this is gunna sound reely weird but can you do cpr on a person that has obviously broken ribs?

  • ya that is a good question?

  • You can do CPR on a patient with broken ribs. You have to if you want the person to have a chance of living through the trauma.

Broken bones are secondary to cardiac arrest which, in medical terms, means patients are more likely to die of cardiac arrest than broken bones.

    Vicki B., Paramedic

  • regarding the CPR with broken ribs question - added to what vicki said, when you do CPR there is a good chance you will break a rib or the sternum while doing it, so broken ribs are a non issue if you've gone that far.

  • Yes you can do a CPR on a person who have broken ribs, if the person dosen't responds what you are saying and the eyes start to go back, than you should have to do CPR. First of all, the person have to check the puls on the man or the woman!

  • You can do CPR with someone that has broken ribs. There is a chance that you may do a bit more harm because chest compressions can actually break a person's ribs but that is something minor compared to a person not breathing.

  • u guys sound like ur trying to be smart asses

  • that is the reason i put my e brake on when im working under my car

  • the wheel lifts wer on rong they r supposed to be pushed agianst the the tire

  • Why not move the jack over to the side where the pt is trapped? And why take c spine precautions before airway? Wow.

And "we've been married ever since I was 15 years old"?!?!?!? wtf

  • woo redneck! shouldnt it of been a camaro lol trying to pick up the car and a jack on the other side lol trans am has the wrong ground effects for that year those didnt come out till 79 lol

  • that's why he should have used safety precaution and block the wheels, that car could've rolled back on the child. good he's alright tho, lucky man

  • cry cry cry cry imagion if that happen to ur dad will u cry?

  • 1:15

    close your eyes plz

  • wow theyve been married for fifteen years

  • anbody notice that when William Shatner stood in front of the ambulance, the headlights stopped blinking on and off

  • The Driver's side was still blinking, just the passenger's side was burned out

  • i remember this show, my cousin was going to be on this show because he was in a bad accident.

  • Did they not end up using his story?

  • no they didn't, i don't remember why, but they didn't.

  • @whatever1210 what happend?

  • good quick thinking, leaning on the car...

    smart man

  • OMG!!!!

  • why did they just not move the car drive it a few inches i mean god what are they thinking

  • even that can decide between life and dead. the movement can either mess up things more. its just like u dont move a person hit by a car his neck may be broken and stuff and u might mess up things more

  • GOD ok put the car in park and put the emegency break on and use good lifts

  • When I was a rookie EMT, I became distressed over all the calls we received of people who had become injured due to carelessness.

One of the Paramedics told me that such calls were routine. That no matter what you tell people they should do to protect themselves, they'll take your advice only after they've been hurt.

If I wanted to continue doing this work, he warned me that I'd have to find a way to cope with that fact.

It was a hard fact to accept.

  • shouldnt the youtube account's name be allsad2000 not allgood2000

  • He should have secured the tires more safely......did he even remember to put the car in parking mode and pull the handbrake when he had parked the frontwheels

  • He should have used jack stands instead of ramps also.

Jack stands, 1st gear (5-speed) or Park (auto) and the E-brake is the way to go

  • They're from Kentucky...what do you expect?

  • Being from Kentucky has nothing to do with it. What are you, one of those NYC know-it-alls or something?

  • And there's why you always use wheel chocks.

  • "1:15 dont look real dont u agrea?"

    Obviously?

  • Obviously you can't do that to a REAL person in a re-enactment...you couldn't pay me enough to anyway lol

  • dude thats technically not a toppled trans am, its just a trans am on a man

  • that fat guy is like a proper turkey sub...

  • My Cousin's Foot Got Ran Over by a strange car.

  • a strange car? haha!

  • a strange car ? is that a ghost car. or did she just hurt he foot and said it was a car xD ? sorry but " a strange car " sounds wierd.

  • It was a Strangers Car.

  • ahh okay, i understand better now xD sorry ^^

  • Yeah, Some of her skin came off.

  • euui! nasty. was it bad ?

  • When a car is on ramps like this ALWAYS chock the back wheels. and NEVER EVER go under a car supported just with a jack, use jack stands.

  • The way he set up the car was not safe. God that looked painful! :(

  • LOL Anyone thinking of ROLLING?? HIM OUT? when the car was jacked up? Its a friggen wheel! it rolls! lol

  • soo... Why didn't she just drive or push it in neutral off of him? seeing as how thats how it got on him in the first place it seems like a valid option no person can lift a car I'm not sure why they tried.

  • God is real.

  • no gods a myth. fake as santa!

  • i completely aggree with you there

  • Oh my god! Did she just say that they have been married when she was just 15 years old?! :O damn, she is was just a kid when they married!

  • You people should really watch what you are writting on these things because you dont know what really happened or what these familys went through. And these familys do get on here and look at these things that you all are saying and some of the comments are not appreciated.. I am the daughter of Jeff and Jennifer.

  • This show is put together in such a way as to elicit a response from the viewer. All we can do is react to the information we are given.

It is absurd to expect the audience not to react at all, when that is one of the objectives of an engaging drama.

In short, be upset with the producers who misreprisented your family, not the audience looking to be entertained...

  • Yes but the audience does not have to down grade the family. As my mother has stated before me the 911 service in our area was not working at the time. Just because the show says that the phone was not working, doesnot mean my mother did not know how to use a phone... Do see where i am coming from.

  • The show said, directly, "jennifer could not get her phone to work." The way the sentence was constructed places the responsibility squarely on Jennifer's shoulders--as though she can't work a phone (as opposed to, say, "Jennifer tried, but THE PHONE was not working."

If anyone made your family look foolish, it was the producers of the show. They could have phrased that statement in a number of ways. They chose poorly.

    Leave the viewers alone.

  • I took that sentence to mean the phone was out of order, not that she didn't know how to work a phone.

  • William Shatner is fat and washed up now days. Doing Priceline commercials? "The Negotiator"? Seriously William?

  • do women not have as much adrenaline as men? there have been so many cases like this where some guy would pick the car up off the person with no problem, but then if they try to do it again they cant.

  • 1:15 dont look real dont u agrea?

  • I pazd and went to the bathroom and puked

  • married since they were 15? i didn't even know that was legal

  • hmm the lifting tactic wouldve worked if she had a jack personally i wouldve pushed the car away

  • has to be painful

  • He should have put blocks behind the back wheels also...by the way, couldn't the lady have tried to *push* the car off of him, instead of trying to lift it like the incredible hulk?

  • he should have been using the jack...but let's not question this man's intelligence, even though it clearly is in question :-P

  • nice boobs she got....yummy :)

  • I agree with star30032. I've been through emergency situations and it's hard to think straight when something like that happens.

  • you guys are so negative and judgemental

  • I agree with you, Star. People are so negative and judgemental about the people on the show. They are way too critical about their mistakes.

  • no kidding. sure, some people are the epitome of retarded, but for the most part, these emergencies occur due to honest mistakes

  • very touching!!

  • Dude, she tried to lift the car herself...then she couldn't work the phone. Hell, married at 15?

You only hear about that kind of intelligence down south.

  • The phone wasnt working, you didnt hear the host say that part? Everybody else did. That's what most people's first reaction would be, to try to lift the vehicle off of the person.

  • 1:54--It said "Jennifer could not get her phone to work." It didn't say "The phone wasn't working." The show placed the blame on her as the one unable to get the phone to work. Hence, she couldn't work a damn phone.

  • I think that meant the phone was out of order and she couldn't fix it.

  • It's possible. I think if that were the case, they would have mentioned the reason why it was out of order--just to add to the drama.

I like to think that all these little things add up to paint a larger picture of ignorance, though.

  • This is Jennifer from the show...the 911 system was not workinhg and the show did not want to tell people that and if I pushed the car it would have crushed my husbands head!!!

  • is she trying to lift the car up?

  • She worked in a hospital before and didn't do CPR???

  • you must secure the vehickal. lol

  • no kidding...sheesh

  • it's spelled "vehicle"

  • man how can you misspell vehicle

  • first rule. put up a vehicle on flat land not a slight slope

  • MARRIED AT FIFTEEN?! whoa.

  • dumbass put a fuckin huge ass block engine in the car as mentioned in the first part of the vid. uh how bout some nice rims and shit that way car is lighter not killing u uh idiots ii agree!

  • The people in this video are idiots. That woman across the street should have called 911. And then once they freed him they should have done CPR ASAP, not order him to breathe. *rolls eyes*

  • 05:38 looks like my tech teacher at school. Freaky lol. Im glad that guy was alright =]

  • Married, at 15??! .. .that's crazy..

But anyways ... that's crazy. I remember watching this episode when i was little ... gave me the same feeling in my stomach when it happened.

    its nuts.

  • but then the paralysis could have spread up in his body. but u did make a very good point. sorry if i came off as a mean and snotty person. i didnt mean to.

  • What about the Toppled Pick-Up Truck???

The same situation happens with a truck instead of a trans-am....it rolls on the father working on it.

  • Way to jack up the wrong side of the car. I hope they didn't do that in real life.

  • Wouldn't matter what side you did, it can still happen. What he SHOULD have done was jack up both side and use something to keep the wheels from moving.

  • Instead of yelling at the man to breath, why didnt they give him breaths??

  • cuse if they moved him just a little bit he could of died cuse he could of had a broken neck so yah

  • Yea but you still would have to perform CPR. You can't fix dead.

  • u dont have to but i understand what ur talking about

  • u wouldnt necessarily have to move him. just get the car off of him was the main thing

  • Turning on the car and backing it off him doesn't really seem like a good idea. The rotating of the tires could have injured him more. I think what they did was better than moving the car.

  • yah true

  • because if they had moved his neck one inch he could have had spinal injuries. if he had suffered spinal injuries he could have been permently paralyzed. if u still dont get it u can wacth the surfboard -911 episode it should explain it a bit better.

  • Breathing is way more important than being paralyzed. If someone is lying there NOT breathing with a neck injury the best thing is to give them CPR...Being paralyzed is better than dead

  • Does anyone have a reasonable theory as to why Jennifer's phone didn't work? Just curious.

  • Yeah, well this was a town in Kentucky that was near the Tennesee boarder.

  • That is some scary stuff!!!

  • It happened in Kentucky.

  • they should have not move the car.

  • Assuming that what Jennifer said was true, it's not very often that you hear of a couple being married ever since the bride was 15.

  • This is kentucky, in the rural areas getting married at 15 isn't uncommon. My grandparents were married when my grandmother was 14. Loretta Lynn, she was 13 or 14. Anymore I don't think that happens as often as it did. Although I wouldn't think that Jennifer would lie about what age she got married, so I wouldn't have to assume it was true

  • LOL "anyone thats got a neighbor that can bench press a trans am's got a chance"

hahaha.. that ranks up there with Burt Reynold's Smokey and the bandit 2 quote "I'm the only man in the world who drank up a Trans Am"

FWIW i own a T/A but ive never drank it, nor bench pressed it, lol

  • OUCH!!!

  • he got real lucky and im glad that he survived or i wouldnt have got to know him b/c he is my uncle. im just glad he didnt die from this.

  • There is the sequal segment to this if that's what you want to call it with the truck rolling on the father while he works on it.

Dave said they use the jaws of life to lift the truck.

Why didn't they use the jaws of life to lift the Trans-Am here??

I wonder if they tried the teeter-tauter effect to get the truck of the father as well?

  • The first time I saw this I was in Kindergarten, and my dad was watching to see if he died or not and I said, "nobody dies on Rescue 911." next episode I saw a death on the show, from like a gang.

Was there an episode where these 2 girls climbed the balconies in Gulf Shores and one fell and landed by the pool?

Was there one where these girls went hiking once and got hurt, and they do it AGAIN and they end up in a wheelchair?

  • There was one where a girl fell off the hotel balcony while trying to climb down.

There was one where two girls fall off a cliff while hiking and one ends up in wheelchair, but they hadn't gone hiking and gotten hurt before.

  • those were them!! You're thinking of the same ones I am!

  • I remember the balcony segment. The 2 hotties were desperate to meet up with some gorgeous guys they met at a party earlier.

They chose not to walk out of the hotel room which they of course should have done because that's what doors to hotel rooms are there for!

One of the girls mom's could hear a pin drop and they did not want to wake her up!

I guess the two babes thought the mom would not let them leave if she caught them splitting.

  • (cont.)

They choose to scale the balcony by climbing down the patio railing one floor by one.

They make it down to 2 floors or 1 floor below I think.

When they attempt to descend the 3rd time to the floor below, one of the girls does not quite touch her feet to the railing and starts flailing her feet.

  • (cont.)

Her friend who went before her says "stop flailing your legs. I can't grab your feet to help you onto the patio".

She then looses her grip of the railing and falls and lands by the pool.

  • That happened in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

  • there was an episode (which is on youtube) where a teen dies from huffing butane

  • oh wow thank you for puting this up i never seen it before

  • Yes, I immediately noticed that, too. I guess the time of year that a re-enactment is filmed depends on when the Rescue 911 crew gets copies of the 911 call, among other factors.

  • Yeah, there were quite a few with seasonal errors. Like "Cop Saves Dog" and "911 Knoxville Intruder" which both happened in December, but were filmed when the leaves were on the trees. I guess it didn't matter for those since the season had nothing to do with the emergencies.

  • Did anyone notice that this is supposed to take place in July, but was obviously filmed during winter?

  • You mean like how the trees have no leaves?

  • Yes, and there are patches of snow on the ground.
