People are arguing here about his accent,many defending it saying his race isn't an issue,which is true. But his accent has nothing to do with his race. His accent also shouldn't be an issue,but it is clear to Harrison Stafford himself that it is.If he's making good music with a good message why force a Jamaican accent? The music and the message are both great, but for me the message is tainted by the the falseness.

@BlessedGanja It's obvious he's not from Jamaica, but he's definitely trying to have a twang in his accent. It's certainly not the same as his bandmates'. I also enjoy his music and I think it's highly judgemental to assume I have a 'bad mind' because of my opinion on his forced accent, and also patronising to say that I 'NEED' this music. You appear to have severe resentment for what who are assuming are 'slaves of babylon'. I think you yourself aren't hearing his message properly yourself.

@BlessedGanja Where I live a 'twang' is a term for an unusual, often foreign, element to an accent. And patwa isn't an accent, it's a creole language. I assure you I'm neither hateful or spiteful. He can have any accent he wants, but I see a forced accent as a sign of poor self-identification and falsity. My judgement is not based on his accent, but his choice to adopt one. Also, by your exclamation marks and use of profanity suggests that you're quite angry. Relax. Have a cup of tea.

Yes indeed. Dont get me wrong. I really like Groundation, but the lead vocals are really anoying after 3 or 4 tracks. I think they should change the lead vocals or have more variation.

I get this feedback from almost everybody who listens to them.

stafford is like the geddy lee of reggae. hes super groovy and has a unique voice. also, he does a great job of conveying the emotion he feels towards the subjects of his songs

I saw The Wailers and that was about the worst reggae show that I have seen, WHY? because people forget that this music is about His Imperial Majesty and not about MONEY and NOTORIETY and the trappings of Babylon.
