Superboy-Prime would solo the mass majority of the listed Marvel villians. Could that be the reason why he wasn't listed? Never the less, it seems like many of the villians listed on the DC end were Batman faceted street level villians.
Based on my collection of comics, the DC villians are more powerful. I don't see World War Hulk doing anything to "For Tomorrow" Zod at the end of the day. Magneto and Doom get pulverized by the (for some reason) added Martian Manhunter.
i think DC villains are differant from Marvel villains because to be Marvel villains seem to be just about power and control such as Apocalypse, Magneto, Galactus ect. Whereas DC seems to have more complex villains with backgrounds and deep emotional problems which made them villains such as The Joker, Two-Face, The Riddler, The Penguin and so on.
@argumentalcom i might as well say that marvel is far more deep in story than dc and most of the marvel roster is greater in power and story. i like dc but marvel got's them beat fair and simple and has been for years.

@argumentalcom well i agree with you on galactius and the fact that dc can come up with great orgins for their character's, but marvel has more characters with the proplems and stuff because that's what makes a good character.
Most of the Villains of DC can eat all members of the Marvel universe both good or bad for breakfast. Doomsday could trample anyone in 5 minutes. And then the worst of them all is Nekron who is Death himself. Everything is but a plaything to that guy, even the fabled Anti Monitor was captured as a black lantern easily and to be quick, if the heroes didnt manage to discover the white light that God gave to the universe then all of existence would be a huge graveyard.
@dxjrules5 And with the omega effect Darkseid can relocate galaxies, planets and people, or desintegrate any of such things to dust, and trap anyone to a series of different realities for ever ( the only beings immune to the omega force are Superman and Doomsday). Plus the motivations that drives Thanos to do what he does is to make the entity of death to love him. boo hoo love stories make me cry. But Darkseid's motivation is to reshape all the universes in his image.
@TheSuperMAn1989 If so why are Superman and Doomsday immune to it if it is so powerful? I think other beings can be immune to it as well as long as they are strong enough. Also, Darkseid relies on that too much if you ask me. Just because you have a powerful weapon doesn't mean it will work all the time, such as when Doomsday nearly beat him to death and Superman saved him. Yeah I don't like love stories either but that gives Thanos more character so I'm fine with it.
@dxjrules5 Dont forget how he corrupted Desaad, or even how his entire planet rotted further under his rule, that also adds character to Darkseid, not even a real life tyrant has led a civilization to such a detrimental state ( perhaps stalin may be the closest match to Darkseid :P ) To be short, Thanos isn't that dark because he did everything out of tainted love, but darkseid is on a different road. personaly i find that Darkseid has a lot more impact on the reader, even if i dont like him.
@dxjrules5 Imagine now that Darkseid almost completed his task without lifting a finger, yes he did use his powerful minions to prepare the stage for his plans but when everything was ready he simply used his mind to put almost every being in existence under his control essentialy making everyone an extension of himself and then began collapsing all the universes within himself. He did all of this and he is not even the most powerful villain in the DC Universe. Shall i add more?
Again, you're proving my point that Darkseid can't do much without help. That's the point of the argument. Not how much damage he can do with all his resources, but how much damage he can do completely on his own.

Yes, Darkseid was not born with the omega force and i never claimed that Darkseid was the strongest villain. and the reason that Superman & Doomsday are immune to it is because they are much stronger and in my opinion they are the strongest beings in DC. But do not forget that Darkseid has so many minions because his influence shattered their souls and convinced them that only by licking his boots they accomplished the highest goal in life

@SmokinAce111 My local library has Final Crisis and I read. Confusing as hell but I remember Darkseid didn't get his hands dirty and just sat there most of the time. Thanos on the other hand fights back and doesn't rely on servants for him to fight.

Thanos is a cosmic mutant who augmented himself with genetic manipulation and without the infinity gauntlet he isnt worth the attention ( not that he deserves any even with the gauntlet). On the contrary, Darkseid is an evil god of immense power (he was born with it btw) and if that isnt enough he posseses the omega effect as you must know.

What I remember is that the Omega Effect is for the ruler of Apokolips. That's why Darkseid stole the throne from his father. And I don't really see Darkseid as a god. Like you said with Thanos, to me he is just another alien. Sure more powerful, but alien nonetheless.

Also i wanted to clarify that i was comparing both in terms of personality and who is the better villain, which for me is Darkseid instead of Thanos. And truth be told DC has darker and stronger villains with a few exceptions. Joker may not be super strong but has a tragic history and is actually the most dangerous because he has nothing to lose.

One thing I'll say about DC and Marvel is that DC is that you can usually expect the hero to win while in Marvel it's 50/50. I find Marvel is more easy to relate if you get what I mean. Also Carnage doesn't have anything to lose either. Only difference between Carnage and Joker (minus looks, powers, etc) is that Carnage likes to tear people apart while Joker makes plans.

@dxjrules5 Batman is the best example, as he could have becomed just a rich jerk, or just commit suicide, but instead he fought back his pain, mastered every fighting style known to man, disciplined himself to the peak of human abilities and sacrificed his personal life and wishes, and risks his life every night so that everyone may live another day. @dxjrules5 most marvel characters gained their abilities with no strain at all ( Spider man, Iron Man, Wolverine etc.) and in the beginning many flaunted their powers or resources before becoming heroes. Spider man first used his powers to earn money, how does that inspire people to be better? Or what about Tony Stark, who was a playboy for the most part of his life at the cost of human lives. Or wolverine, who just kills most his enemies to solve his problems.

@dxjrules5 Iron Man could become a hero since he was 15 if he wanted to with his intelligence and wealth(plus he fights crime just for his own ego most times). Spider Man lost his uncle because he acted like a jerk and didnt stop the killer when he had the chance, and Wolverine butchered people for 200 until he did something heroic( and still most of the time butchers people unessecarily). It doesnt look too heroic in my eyes.

@dxjrules5 I also used to read Marvel stories when i was younger but my heart was always with DC, because the stories are better written, there is more intrigue, the villains are more menacing and they are not punching bags for the heroes to entertain themselves, and plus the scale of power levels in DC universe is far greater, and even so the characters that impress the most are the normal ones( Batman, green arrow, Joker, Lex Luthor for example.)

@dxjrules5 if i was a comic book writer, i would be very cautious as to what i would give to the public to read in terms of examples to follow, especially to the new generation. Batman does not symbolize vengeance, but he symbolizes the ability that all of us have deep down to overcome our inner demons if we find the will to do it and dedicating ourselves to the greater good. Superman symbolizes that even if someone is superior to others, we must be more humble and cautious etc.
@dxjrules5 Yes DC comics are darker and more brutal, but it shows the world as it is in most parts of the stories, most characters have a lot of depth and struggle with the same dillemas all of us have in real life. And the authors are doing a magnificent job ( especially these last years), these are a few of the reasons that DC has earned my respect and love.

He was fighting against a OAN powered Superboy Prime who was able, without the Guardian energy, to change reality with his punches when he was low on energy. Monarch cracked his own armor.

Most of the Villains of DC can eat all members of the Marvel universe both good or bad for breakfast. Doomsday could trample anyone in 5 minutes. And then the worst of them all is Nekron who is Death himself. Everything is but a plaything to that guy, even the fabled Anti Monitor was captured as a black lantern easily and to be quick, if the heroes didnt manage to discover the white light that God gave to the universe then all of existence would be a huge graveyard.

Plus the motivations that drives Thanos to do what he does is to make the entity of death to love him. boo hoo love stories make me cry. But Darkseid's motivation is to reshape all the universes in his image.

@TheSuperMAn1989 If so why are Superman and Doomsday immune to it if it is so powerful? I think other beings can be immune to it as well as long as they are strong enough. Also, Darkseid relies on that too much if you ask me. Just because you have a powerful weapon doesn't mean it will work all the time, such as when Doomsday nearly beat him to death and Superman saved him. Yeah I don't like love stories either but that gives Thanos more character so I'm fine with it.

@dxjrules5 Dont forget how he corrupted Desaad, or even how his entire planet rotted further under his rule, that also adds character to Darkseid, not even a real life tyrant has led a civilization to such a detrimental state ( perhaps stalin may be the closest match to Darkseid :P ) To be short, Thanos isn't that dark because he did everything out of tainted love, but darkseid is on a different road. personaly i find that Darkseid has a lot more impact on the reader, even if i dont like him.

Yes, Darkseid was not born with the omega force and i never claimed that Darkseid was the strongest villain. and the reason that Superman & Doomsday are immune to it is because they are much stronger and in my opinion they are the strongest beings in DC. But do not forget that Darkseid has so many minions because his influence shattered their souls and convinced them that only by licking his boots they accomplished the highest goal in life

Thanos is a cosmic mutant who augmented himself with genetic manipulation and without the infinity gauntlet he isnt worth the attention ( not that he deserves any even with the gauntlet). On the contrary, Darkseid is an evil god of immense power (he was born with it btw) and if that isnt enough he posseses the omega effect as you must know.

What I remember is that the Omega Effect is for the ruler of Apokolips. That's why Darkseid stole the throne from his father. And I don't really see Darkseid as a god. Like you said with Thanos, to me he is just another alien. Sure more powerful, but alien nonetheless.

Also i wanted to clarify that i was comparing both in terms of personality and who is the better villain, which for me is Darkseid instead of Thanos. And truth be told DC has darker and stronger villains with a few exceptions. Joker may not be super strong but has a tragic history and is actually the most dangerous because he has nothing to lose.

One thing I'll say about DC and Marvel is that DC is that you can usually expect the hero to win while in Marvel it's 50/50. I find Marvel is more easy to relate if you get what I mean. Also Carnage doesn't have anything to lose either. Only difference between Carnage and Joker (minus looks, powers, etc) is that Carnage likes to tear people apart while Joker makes plans.

@dxjrules5 most marvel characters gained their abilities with no strain at all ( Spider man, Iron Man, Wolverine etc.) and in the beginning many flaunted their powers or resources before becoming heroes. Spider man first used his powers to earn money, how does that inspire people to be better? Or what about Tony Stark, who was a playboy for the most part of his life at the cost of human lives. Or wolverine, who just kills most his enemies to solve his problems.

Spider Man lost his uncle because he acted like a jerk and didnt stop the killer when he had the chance, and Wolverine butchered people for 200 until he did something heroic( and still most of the time butchers people unessecarily). It doesnt look too heroic in my eyes.

@dxjrules5 I also used to read Marvel stories when i was younger but my heart was always with DC, because the stories are better written, there is more intrigue, the villains are more menacing and they are not punching bags for the heroes to entertain themselves, and plus the scale of power levels in DC universe is far greater, and even so the characters that impress the most are the normal ones( Batman, green arrow, Joker, Lex Luthor for example.)

@dxjrules5 if i was a comic book writer, i would be very cautious as to what i would give to the public to read in terms of examples to follow, especially to the new generation. Batman does not symbolize vengeance, but he symbolizes the ability that all of us have deep down to overcome our inner demons if we find the will to do it and dedicating ourselves to the greater good. Superman symbolizes that even if someone is superior to others, we must be more humble and cautious etc.

SuperBoy can absorb solar, Qoa (or someshit), and Quantum energy, it never mentions any energy. @Faelsun Living Tribunal has the powers of the TOAA but he was destroyed and near destroyed when Thanos had the HOTU. Anti-Monitor destroyed MILLION of Universes and absorbed the Anti-Matter from each Universes. He killed Pre-Crisis Supergirl with only one blast of his Anti-Matter weapon and took at PC Flash as well. He only needed one more Universe to be able to destroy the Presence. His defeat was PIS. It was completely retarded.

I still give the Magus the best chance, not only is he probably unkillable since all they can seem to do is trap him in deminsions that he simply takes over and frees himself later on and always learns some new power like instant death at will . Marvel,Dr.Strange, Surfer and Thanos cant take him together, his immobilized the Tribunal and beat the crap out of Galactus, So If Anyone can come up with a plan against the Monitor its him. Magus is great with alternate realities.

@Faelsun Now, the Monarch. Monarch had the powers of 54 Captain Atoms. Captain Atom by himself is capable of creating his own Universe with the Superheroes he wants inside him such as Superman, The Spectre, etc. Monarch killed almost every Superman, WW, etc. He was defeated because of his own mistake. He was fighting against a OAN powered Superboy Prime who was able, without the Guardian energy, to change reality with his punches when he was low on energy. Monarch cracked his own armor.

@ShadowHunter31 Monarch unleashed that way, the Energy of a controlled Big Bang. Still, OAN Superboy Prime was still standing. After a couple of blows on each side, OAN Superboy managed to destroy Monarch's armor (Only because Monarch previously cracked his armor. Only he was able to do so). Doing so destroyed the entire Universe. Still, because the DC Universe depends on Batman and Superman (was stated by Mr. Mxy), Superboy Prime was still alive and transported in the Multiverse, again.
