  • There is a simple problem of human physiology capable of causing some psychosomatic symptoms such as OCD. The mention that it started when he played with trains is the only hint that this might be a reaction to Subliminal Distraction exposure. There is no treatment. Victims spontaneously remit symptoms when exposure is discovered then prevented. Google that name for the site. Begin with the 400 word introduction then the "Letters" page for the short version. • Hi i have a son that at the age of 3 was diagnosed with tourettes syndrome and did a lot of what your son is doing. You need to take him to a neurologist and have some tests done to see what he has.The neurologist is going to be the one to tell you what is wrong with your son.My son is now 18 yrs old and medication did wonders. He is now under control and can't see a lot of the tics.I know it can be stressful but check with a neurologist and they will help.Best of luck..

  • Sometimes I wonder about strep infections and what they can induce. I don't think this is the case with my son, but one never knows.

  • I am a 39 year old man and have a complex motor tic disorder which has been diagnosed about 2 years ago. I have noticed watching this video of your son that my tics are very similar (altough not identical) to your son's. I found this video very touching. My neurologist has put me on Tetrabenazine tablets which have worked wonders for me. They do not completely suppress my tics but they do reduce them very noticeably. Side effects are tiredness and lack of energy. All the best.

  • complex stereotypies. Occurs in both normal developing children and children with developmental issues. I have been told that my son should grow out of it by teen years, or at a minimum it will be very minor.

  • i have motor tics and i have a realy bab case of it it sucks

  • It looks like it could be related to magnesium deficiency. My daughter used to have some facial grimacing along with whole body stiffening, I read tics and muscle spasms can be a sign of magnesium deficiency and could be corrected by supplementing magnesium. I started my daughter on magnesium cream and oral magnesium with calcium and the grimacing went away. One more thing, please don't vaccinate anymore until you find out what's exactly going on with your son.

  • Looking back at home videos he started around 1.5 It was only when he was excited or tired at first. Now its all day! They look different now much more upsetting! My son is unable to walk and do them at the same time. He will stop walking then do it for a bit and go back to whatever he was doing. Feel free to ask more questions.

  • a few questions:

1 - at what age did u notice that he started doing this?

2 - when he didn't do it all day, did it seem like he would do it more if he was excited and/or over stimulated?

  • @christyfaith oh my goodness, my son does this but he only does this when he first wakes up or is tired..Im so worried now. He's now 5, and I dont know Im losing it.
