Britney had a contract with HBO that said she couldn't be shown on TV until her live concert special on HBO in Las Vegas, so what they did was film a version without Britney so that when it aired on TV she wasnt in it, but then then after her concert on HBO they finally released the duet on TV with a rerun.

I love the whole slow intro to "the way you make me feel", that shit is smooth! I did'nt really appreciate as much when this first came on tv, I was only 13 then but now at 22, I think it's the best song intro I've ever heard. It just sends chills running down your spine. There were 2 different shows took place at Madison Square Garden. On Friday, Sept 1 2001 Michael was a duett with Britney Spears. And on Monday Sept 10, he sang this song without Britney Spears.
