  • pppshhhh illsolo them all

  • What an inspiring story. Thanks for posting, it's like a story from a movie, but REAL!

  • how do i enter a global martial arts competition

  • whats the name of the first song? sounds a bit german, but can anyone tell me the name?

  • @SkateZoranKulic It's German the band is Rammstein, Song is Rosenrot

  • The real 'Mortal Combat' ;)

  • good music

  • Why this band it lol

  • Thanks for all the views guys, BTW check out a new project on facebook. Look up "Kungfu Heroes" and see what we are all about.

  • Wow... I thought I was good, but seeing all this...Wow is all I can say. I still have a long ways to go. Do you think someone who is 15 and selftaught for the last 4 years can be strong enough? Well, just gonna give it all I have :)

  • Incredible story!! I loved it!

  • Yes and mentioned is Asia, which can include Tibet, which makes this song more sensible.

  • awesome!

  • The K-Star competition and any other martial arts competition from any country in Asia is forbidden in the United States. We are only allowed to see sweaty muscular men with their shirts off rolling around the floor for a really long time.

Can you please direct me to a website that specializes in Chinese martial art competition videos. Please help, us United Statesians are very isolated from the world, very, very controlled with no freedom except to buy things we can not afford.

  • that singing is painful

  • I am Chinese and I am very impressed by your success. To be included in this martial art family as a foreigner is something extraodinary. I am even more impressed by your humble speech and that's the "Way" and the secret to success.Bravo!

  • such an amazing skill with a bullwhip! Where did you learn all this? I know you were in China but for how long? :)

  • Believe it or not the Bullwhip was self taught... My family has a strong martial arts background and they sent me to China to improve my skills... I spent about half a year in the Zhengzhou Shaolin Martial Arts Majoring Institute and never stopped working when I returned home, haha good fortune I guess

  • I wanted to try bullwhip, but it looks pretty dangerous. I mean for selftought. So, you came back home and countinued training without teacher? or who was your teacher in the us?

  • My wushu coaches have been many but not has influenced me more than Coach Wei Wei or Wei jin lin. by Self taught I was refering to the bullwhip. Not any of the other things

  • @Wr2 interesting, did you actually created your bullwhip form by putting in techniques that you thought it would look great? i was wondering if you learned that from a shaolin master since the bullwhip is not much of a wushu weapon. and how long did it took you to get to this level (in bullwhip)?

  • awesome vid, i hope he dos good :) make usa proud lol :D

  • i'd love 2 train w/ the shaolin monks

  • Very nice video. Hope things worked out well for you.

  • kool! my miao people!

  • nnice video... just wished i coudlve watched the whole competition.. UR AMAZING =D

  • Hey everyone!

Thanks for all the support and nice comments. Life has been keeping me busy and I've been working on many new projects. This October I will be traveling to China's famed Wudang Mountain to compete in the World Traditional Wushu Games, widely considered by most as the Olympics of Chinese Martial Arts. I will be training my hardest for this as it will be my last competition abroad for quite awhile. Please wish me luck and again thanks for all your support

    Philip Sahagun

  • how far made it DY?

  • hahaha " look at those chinese faces" u cracked me up! congrats Phillip :)

    Regards Sharity (from myspace)

  • ehy sind nur amrikaner

  • i mean the chinese one

  • li seng jie-recently

  • whats last song name?

  • The techno one? adagio for strings

  • I knew he'd win!

I like him better than Xin(not in the gay way) because he seems more... mature lol

  • I remeber when kung fu was cool ,not a beauty pagent!can you say chinese idol?

SIMON:"your praying manytis looks like a bloody grass hopper",jackie chans disciple show!wtf?we live in a messed up place whensome thing ment to bring you closer to yourself and nature, brings further away from both......

  • I agree haha, but if you were in an event like this you would find that you learn a lot more about yourself than you might imagine. An experiance like this is life changing. For me meeting the people, the masters, the practitioners all taught me something different. Now in Jackie Chan's show I feel the commercialism. I feel little honor. So I don't wish to be a big part of it anymore... but this. this is something special. As for age your not much older than me. I think kungfu is still cool hehe

  • You're awesome man! Wish you good luck!

  • AMAZING!more Videos!plz!

  • awesome :) High hopes for you man, always much fun watching you in action.

  • You are an inspiration for me to get better at my martial arts keep up the good work man!

  • Heh, is the song Ramstein?

  • Yeah man best ever! Haha

  • hai man, where did u learn kung - fu? ty

  • yeah i heard about that, best of luck, i'll be looking for you :)

what song is that at the end? i really like it

  • wow that was awesome! i can't imagine what it would be like to be that good in anything! congratulations!

  • Thanks for the support! I'm now in a training seclusion for Jackie Chan's Disciple show which is a similar competition. Please wish me luck =]

  • Great clip and greatest Rammestein!!!

  • Bad Ass.

Way to show them that the US isn't all balls and brawls

  • Hey, it is great to have another Sahagun doing martial arts. I think we have it in our blood. Congratulations Philip!!.

    Hector Villarruel Sahagun

  • Wow another Sahagun! I'm honored to meet you keep up all your work and who knows... maybe we will meet up someday =D

  • The honor is mine Philip!. I live in Mexico and i think i will go to Camarillo CA to train with SiFu Rick on October, so some day we can meet, if not in October, some other day.

    Great work Sahagun!!

  • Amazing clip...

  • what is the chinese song in the end?

  • Li seng jie-recently

  • great!

    who's that girl on 08:58? ;)

  • all u need is ur move to communicate doesnt need words..lol

  • in k star shaolin , were those americans shaolin monks and how do you study with the shaolin monks

  • first is RAMMSTEIN - ROSENROT! Rammstein rocks!

  • Whats the name of the songs

  • Great video

  • hahahah found chuuuu ... phillip is awesome!!

  • Saying that training disregarding a particular style is also putting up a wall, don't you think? Everything is relative. Who wins a bout depends on the person's heart, dedication, skill and luck. It doesn't matter if that person knows only one system or masters many. So if anything, saying that styles are stupid or whatever, shows an incredible amount of intolerance. Not exactly very enlightening...

  • Hope to get to your level ome day with my style...well done philip!!!!

  • style's are stupid.

  • agreed, if someone is to be a martial artist the best thing to do is practice without putting up walls of styles and forms. Life in the martial arts is about the pursuit of skill, many including myself believe this should be one without borders. Also while I'm writing thanks for all the nice comments written. I really appreciate it and its something to keep in mind during my daily practice. Best of luck to everyone in their pursuits! Philip

  • yes the goal of martial arts is personal expression, and an understanding of self knowledge, Once you acheive the top level, you understand the real truth of this world, there are no abosolutes and no right and no wrong. You don't need a guru to teach you anything.

  • Hi Phillip I watched some your videos with great enjoy and some nostalgy. I am 21 years old and do not wish to become a martial arts master, through i I know I am a bit too old to start that cariere now, but I think I am not too old to start at all. But where? Only thing that is near and accessible to me is kind of HungKar Kung Fu School, but I agree that putting borders takes more than gives.

  • youre never to old i would have trained martial arts if iwould only had one leg

  • I do latin dances so I train a flexibility, movement control, strength, condition and balance a lot so I think I am not totaly lost and wish to become at least good at martial arts and selfunderstooding.. I am from middle Europe - Czech Republic, where should I start my journey? Thank you for the answer and wish you a lot of honorable moments in life, Dave

  • Styles arent stupid, they are merely a way to express someones dedication to marshal arts, we people are all the same, but still very different, same goes for the styles, they have the same goals, but they are just different.

  • u know so little......

  • wow very impressive. ive competed internationally in my style before, but that is at a whole new level. congraz to you philip, well deserved :D

  • big up!

  • well done philip and congrate on the shaolin charity cup from mike shaolin culture

  • I dont see the link between kung-fu and ramstein's metal style but ok... still good.

  • asian ladies are so beutiful

  • hei.. i like the last song

i've been trying to download it but i can't find it..

    can someone help me? :D

  • yeh, i cant find it too, i really like the song, can someone link it?

  • Hey mate just like to say firstly Gratz on winning. I also study kung fu and did gymnastics as well as tae kwon do and was looking to go to tht very shaolin temple to learn. So could u just tell me what it was really like there. As well as how u managed with living in china. Im only 17 and really want to forward my art. Any info you could give me wuld b great thx.

  • Philip your such a good at what you do why haven't been in any movies yet

  • Thanks for the nice comment, I would like to get into movies but I'm only 19 now and much of my focus has been in finishing school and practicing my art. I have done commercial work and stunts here and there but trying to appear in films would be something I look forward to later down the road.

  • DY SAO (US K-STAR) Xin Sarith (Urban Ninja on youtube) and myself have teamed up to get into film work. There's a lot of talent in Orange County so if anyone has acontacts please leave a reference for one of us LOL ^_^

  • I heard about this competition from my sensei one day (I train with United Studios of Self Defense). So you're the one that made it... awesome!

  • Dude, i do wushu too! YOuve inspired me to train harder and be better. Thank you!!!

  • Good job!

  • What were the songs? Thanks.

  • Rammstein: Rosenrot

    Li sengjie: Recently

    DJ Tiesto: Adagio for strings

  • congratulations Phillip. Keep on working .

  • ouch.. my ears hurted at the beginning when the girls started to sang

  • Good job Phillip. Ive spent 15 years in martial-arts and help coordinate marketing for a Ving Tsun Kung Fu school and i had no idea this compitition was even occuring. Its great to see you were honest and tried your best and lived the kung-fu life. Ultimately your speech won because you learned and lived the kung-fu life and that is truely beautiful - not the art to fight.

  • those girls cant sing

  • YOU FUCKING ROCK!!!

    USA! USA! USA!

  • I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for posting =)

  • Great video; congratulations. Personally, I am into the direct fighting style of Wing Chun for it's reality fighting ,but what I saw and see in Wu Shu is Beautiful and awesome. Thanks!

  • Hate the singing..

  • Way to go and congrats. Your speech is nicely put....humble and thoughful.
